hello

I have had a little boy by c section (2nd) and wanted to find out from people in a similar situation how long you waited before having sex. I think it has taken longer to recover as this is a 2nd c section. Stomach has felt quite sore and have felt so tired that I have felt to tired to feel in mood and feel sexy. I want to change this and wanted some advice about how to do this, how long you waited and how often you do it, time of day and how do you get in the mood to feel sexy. Just feel so exhausted at the moment but feel guilty as we have not had sex since I found out I was pregnant. Any positions better than others? thank you

finding the time is tricky. I have a new baby and toddler. The toddler is awake all day and the baby all evening. And am not giving up night time sleep.

feeling guilty isn't sexy. Hugs and understanding are much better. Is it you putting pressure on yourself or has your dh/dp made any comments? If he's anything like my dh he'll be too knackered to worry at the moment anyway!

We had sex only 3 weeks after having dd1 by c-s but with dd2 I felt much ropier, very sore, lots of pain and absolutely knackered. We too hadn't had sex for ages as I had placenta praevia and so we were 'banned' from anything sexual (as far as I was concerned anyway - dh was allowed of course but it was rare i felt that altruistic!). I mentioned it to dh a few times but he said we're together for the long run anyway and there'd be plenty of time to catch up. I think we got round to something at around 7-8 weeks after dd2 but it was all very slow, gentle, etc. It gradually progressed from there.

I had dd2 by 2nd c/s 6 weeks ago. We did the deed for the first time last night but we have taken it slow and built up to it over a couple of weeks.

I can understand where you're coming from with the guilt, I felt bad for dh and wanted to make an effort for his sake. Finding time is difficult as we don't really get much time alone as dd2 is awake all evening.

tbh I think it's easy to build it up in your head so it becomes a big deal when it needn't be (iyswim) I wanted to do it just to get the first shag out of the way and then I could relax about it. btw, my scar didn't bother me at all the only difficulty was down to me being tense and apprehensive.
