It isn't fair, I'm her mum. Mum knows best :( I can't believe they're allowed to do this.

Do you want to tell us about it? :-(

That sounds really tough. Have you any support through this - legal, emotional, practical?

Sorry but mum doesn't always know best. I'm sorry you're obviously in pain with this. But maybe talking here will help?

I'm a good mum. Always have been. I feel like I've lost her. It's awful. Yes, SS.

mum doesn't always know best, we can't give you much advice based on your op. Who are "they"? Why have they taken your daughter?

Report
Afreshstartplease · 14/11/2016 12:37

For what reason have they removed her?

Report
MrsJayy · 14/11/2016 12:40

This is devestating for you however Ss dont just take children what happened do you want to tell us?

Report
Thatwaslulu · 14/11/2016 12:40

Have you been given the reasons, and is this due to having an action plan that you have been working with?

Report
Emmie1201 · 14/11/2016 12:41

I was told that it could happen, but they don't understand that it isn't my fault.

Hi, I'm really sorry this has happened to uou, can you explain why they took her and what the plan is?

Report
mrstomriddle · 14/11/2016 12:42

I think you need to go into a bit more detail if you can, so people can advice or help you in some way

Report
LIZS · 14/11/2016 12:42

They don't remove with cause or concern. Have you been trying to work with ss to avoid this situation?

Report
Soubriquet · 14/11/2016 12:42

Sorry OP it must be awfully hard for you

But sometimes mum doesn't always know best. Sometimes she makes mistakes that can't be ignored

SS don't remove children for the hell of it. It's the very last resort

Report
AnyFucker · 14/11/2016 12:43

You will need to give more detail if you want constructive help, love

Where is her father ? Are you together or do you have another partner on the scene ?

Report
Emmie1201 · 14/11/2016 12:44

I was working with them though, I was trying to follow what they told me

Report

I understand that you're distraught OP, but posters here will only be able to help if we understand the situation.

How old is DD?
What reasons have they given for removing her?
When was she removed?
Where have they taken her?

Flowers for you OP

Natsku · 14/11/2016 12:45

I'm sorry OP this must be very distressing for you but SS don't remove children without good reason. You say its not your fault - is it because of someone living in the same home with you being a risk to them? If so, can you move out/get them to move and work at getting your daughter back?

Report
DoItTooJulia · 14/11/2016 12:45

Why were SS involved with you? And what went wrong if you were trying to comply?

Report
Thatwaslulu · 14/11/2016 12:45

Sometimes, SS will intervene for the sake of the child if the mum makes bad choices, or is in a dangerous relationship - if a partner is violent or using drugs for example. It doesn't mean that the mum is to blame for the other person's actions, but that the situation isn't safe for the child (eg if the mum stays with the violent partner).

I'm trying to get away from her dad, but he just keeps coming back. I do keep him away, but as he still turns up they count that as him still being with me, it isn't fair

If he's not allowed to see her you have to call the police every time he turns up. That's how you protect yourself.

Report
Afreshstartplease · 14/11/2016 12:49

You need to keep him out. If he won't leave call the police.
