Women (and men) of the Mumsnet relationships board, I never posted about my problems but I just want to say thank you!

Thanks to posters on this board, I’ve thrown my lying, prostitute-using, porn-addicted excuse for a DP out of the house after 16 years. Without your advice I’d have crumbled sometime during the two years since I first started to suspect something. I’d have believed him when he said he was depressed, that he was only looking, that he would never do anything... thank god I knew about the script and the minimising and the fact I probably wasn’t the one with the problem even though he insisted that I was.

So thank you to all the women in similar situations who post on these boards – it doesn’t make me happier to find there are more people going through what I have, but your advice was really helpful as I lurked in disbelief. My DC and I can get on with our lives now. Smile

Thanks again Smile.

Cake and Wine and Flowers are all good. I have more time for them now I'm not trying to save a doomed relationship in vain.
