"Old people don't snog" - true or false?

Sorry, I know it's almost a TAAT... It's not actually about the other thread, it's just picking up one comment made to me.
I have examples of some people I know who still snog (e.g. my sister after 20 years of her relationship)
A poster called me a liar Confused

Apparently old people don't snog, and if they kiss it's a peck on the cheek and they certainly don't do it in public.

I'm PMSL.

So, please share with me your granny snogging stories. No lies though please people!

Me, I'm 41 and regularly snog my 52yo fiancé, sometimes... in public!!! ShockGrin

So any really old people on here want to admit to not have withered up completely?

I suppose it's okay to snog if you're confident that your dentures are secured firmly in place.

Cabrinha · 30/06/2016 18:15

Couldn't you just take them out if they're insecure?
Or is that more for old person blow jobs do you think?

My grandparents regularly snogged.
When we were on holiday my grandad would ask my nan if she'd like to go back to their room to 'get the dinner ready' in an all inclusive resort. We all knew what they meant. We didn't even see it as cringe worthy....We would just laugh and think it was so lovely that they still fancied the arse off each other after 40 years of marriage.

The ageist drivel on here is pretty depressing, isn't it? I'm 55 and my husband is 61. I suppose in many people's eyes we should be packing up and making for the old folks' home, but I think we will be able to hold on a bit longer yet. And yes, there is still snogging here, even after 36 years together.

I'm 41. I've been single for much of the past 3.5 years since my husband and I separated.

I haven't been on a date in over a year, so no going to get much chance any time soon, but I love a good snog.

So many people have said to me that, at my age, I'm probably going to be happy with 'companionship' (I think they mean 'without sex'). They are wrong. I want to snog up against a tree until I'm weak at the knees until I'm ancient. Should I ever get the opportunity again...

Yes, I snog with my husband.

Not in public though. Never have, even when a whippersnapper.

I don't know if we're old, but our kids think we are (17,15, 9) we are 38 and 46 and LISTEN KIDS
WE STILL SNOG AND WE STILL HAVE SEX TOO

Not in public though...

My 9 yr old said to me, I would like to adopt children as I couldn't have real ones as you'd, y'know, have to do that thing that was in that book you gave me
the all about sex one?
Yes it's just disgusting and it means, well it means you and dad must have done it. I mean, how many times HAVE you done it?
God knows, thousands, maybe millions

I love being a parent

I've just logged in so haven't seen the other thread. Someone thinks old people don't snog?

It's free and fun - why would anyone stop?!

My parents (60's) definitely still snog. They wouldn't call it that, though. It's french kissing. Grin

"French kissing"! Not heard that term in decades! Me 62, husband 54, still snogging. At home. In private.

3 years ago I got braces. Over Sunday lunch in front of the whole family my mother asked if I could still french kiss. My husband started choking on his roast potato, having not really heard that term before he thought she was asking about oral sex. Confused Hmm Grin Grin

54 and 58. Love a good snog and a bit of how's yer father. I regularly get smacked on the bum with suggestions of going upstairs for a quickie, especially (I am sorry to say) if the 27 year old or 23 year old are about because it freaks them out.

I intend to carry on with this behaviour as long as I possibly can.
