We were heading out for dinner and as I got out of the car it just slipped out.
It wasn't quiet.

I am mortified.

We laughed but I was so embarrassed.

I never fart in front of partners even when I've been with them for years. I don't even do it in front of my children! It's all to do with my repressed upbringing. But I think it would be very shallow of him to be bothered by such a thing.

I wish I could be that relaxed...we have been together for 12 years and he has never heard that from me...though I don't think that's necessarily a good thing!

OP you have nothing to worry about - he knows you fart and so does he! However when I was 21 (paused here to think about name changing but really CBA) I fell through in a shopping centre with my then DP. I had to stand stock still while he went to buy me new trousers then waddle to the toilet. I repeat - you have nothing to worry about!
