My husband left me and our children at Christmas and I have been drowning my worries in wine or vodka. Nothing seems to make me happy and I don't want the kids see me cry. Is there anyone else going through similar? I feel I have turned a corner today, but find when I have my period due I get really down for a day a month.

I went through this when my ex buggered off. I was drinking a lot of wine, wallowing in my own misery.

I realised it couldn't keep on like that so I got a babysitter and started going out with a friend, for coffee, just doing things for me for a change.

I met my DH on one night out. We've been together for 5 years.
