egg freezing

I posted the following on the general health board a few days ago but got no replies. Maybe because it's a bit of specialist topic. Would appreciate any thoughts as I don't know where to start exploring.

I would like to find out about egg freezing. Is there a support group or body from which I could find impartial information on the process and reputation of clinics?

Clinics are regulated by the HFEA, so you could start with their website? I've only seen comparison success rates given for IVF from fertilised eggs, not fertilisation and pregnancy success rates post unfertilised freezing though.

www.londonwomensclinic.com/london/egg_freezing

Is a reputable clinic if you just want info on the process.

Years ago I went to an open evening about it at the bridge clinic london. Máybe look for similar things at fertility clinics near you.

Long story short I found I didn't gave a good ovarian reserve I was devastated as I was relatively young 36!

However DP committed after he saw how devastated I was - despite only being together a short while we started ttc - 3 years later I conceived ds after a lot of issues.

Thank you for your comments and Andcake I'm glad you were able to conceive your DS.

I'm 35, single and feel I should be looking into my options.

Would I need to come off cerazette before they could do they could check ovarian reserve? Since I was a teenager I've suffered with bad period pains and the mini pill sorts me out, so I don't want to come off it unless I decide it's something I want to go ahead with. So it's a bit chicken and egg.

I don't think you would need to come off pill to check ovarian reserve as some protocols have you take the pill month before

Your steps; pick a couple of clinics and attend open days. Go to gp for all std tests , get an amh test privately. If you go ahead, asda sell the drugs cheapest.

You are looking at 8 k for 1 cycle including drugs etc 20k or so for 3 cycles....and then cash other side to use and no guarantees it will work . If you are serious get started now as best done before 36

Hello girls, thank you for your active discussion. I was reading another forums on eggs freezing issues, but this one seems to be the most active. My friend has decided to freeze her eggs. A fertility clinic in Warsaw (a friend lives in Poland), cost is relatively not high (about 1 500 Euro) and a clinic has the accreditation of American Society for Reproductive Medicine. The clinic is known for high ivf success rate and other excellent programmes. So I think if a fertility clinic is reputable one, she can trust it? What do you think?

You're asking British women about a clinic in Poland?

Hello Twinklestein- as eggs freezing is a new procedure in Poland, I (may be wrong) think British women have more experience and knowledge on eggs freezing and generally clinics. That is the reason I am asking about opinion.
