Should I be worried?

I am anyway but just wondered if anyone knew what this was and could put my mind at rest,
Last night in bed my boyf was showing me a video on his phone, while watching it I noticed an icon at the top of the screen in the notification bar, it was a like a speech bubble with a heart inside it.
I asked him what it was and he said oh its just spam? Don't panic you read too much into everything.
ive googled and googled and cannot find out what this notification was for and obviously I havent got a screen shot as it was on his phone,
Has anyone seen or heard of this before? I'm worried its not what he said. His phone is a samsung galaxy s5 if that helps/makes any difference
thanks in advance

A quick search on Google images for "chat apps" shows zoosk app has a love heart and is a dating site...

worriednow83 · 06/05/2015 19:43

I cant find a picture on google...isnt zoosk a red heart? this was a white heart inside a greyish speech bubble not an app icon as such but a notification symbol in the notification bar?

Ive found a forum that says zoosk notification is a white star with a red dot in it?? Any other ideas I'm really worried and thanks.

Why would this worry you so much? Their must be problrms in your relationship already for you to be reading so much into this. This is not the behaviour of a happy/settled/secure girlfriend....

worriednow83 · 06/05/2015 19:55

Its worried me because its a heart I guess and I have no idea what its for,
just wanted to ask if anyone had seen or heard of it before???

There are literally hundreds of thousands of apps on the Google play store, it's not uncommon for them to use hearts. It could be anything.

Rosieliveson · 06/05/2015 20:12

Isn't that what comes up when someone likes a photo on Instagram? I don't use Instagram but it sounds similar.

You need to calm down and back off.

If you want to know what it is, ask him to show it to you. Stop obsessing all over the Internet.

LuckyCornish13 · 06/05/2015 20:21

Is it like the one second from the right?

Should I be worried?
6LittleOnes · 06/05/2015 20:50

Theres a pre installed health app on an s5 that has a white heart like this but with a grey background instead of green

Should I be worried?
parsnipbob · 06/05/2015 20:52

I think you might be overthinking this OP...

soontobemumofthree · 06/05/2015 21:01

He said "Don't panic you read too much into everything."

Do you need to know what it is? If so you probably should ask him, if it what he says it is, then probably need to consider why you got so worried about a phone symbol.

Just reading your post made me feel stressed!

worriednow83 · 06/05/2015 21:04

Thanks for your comments
the heart was on a grey background in a speech bubble though and if It was a preinstalled app I would have thought he would just say this rather than spam as hes very into his phone so knows how it works.
I didnt realise I was obssesing over the Internet I was just asking a question

I think its fairly important to know what it is if infact its a message notification off some dating site yeah.

parsnipbob · 06/05/2015 21:10

worried are you sure it's not the picture luckycornish posted above, it sounds like what you are describing?

Sorry if you were offended, it's just I think we were taken aback by the level of stress and panic in your post over something that might easily be nothing at all. Do you not trust him? Has he cheated on you before or something?

HopefulHamster · 06/05/2015 21:24

I might say app notifications are spam. They are when you get loads!

muddylettuce · 06/05/2015 22:20

I get tons of weird app notifications that I have never seen before and never use. Usually this is after my phone has updated and from pre-installed apps. I got a rhinoceros the other day...wtf! Try not to worry. X

worriednow83 · 06/05/2015 23:31

I cant see any picture posted??
is this because I'm on the app and not the full site?

Is it like the whatsapp icon of a phone receiver inside a speech bubble, but with a heart instead?

That would worry me, tbh.

I have no idea what it is, but the speech bubble suggests it is a communication/chat notification, and the heart suggests it's romance related. To me anyway.

LuckyCornish13 · 07/05/2015 07:14

Google image search Instagram toolbar

worriednow83 · 07/05/2015 10:16

I have googled the instagram toolbar and yes it looked like that heart thank you.
didnt know he was on instagram or what it is really I'm not very into social network sites
