Looking for single mums to have some fun together with our kids, working on a separation for July and moving to Northampton from London. I work fulltime in IT. This is the second time am making this move, because i was so lonely, i went back to H after he promised to change but he changed for only 3 weeks and we were back to square 1. This time I want to make the final move in July, expecting a baby in June.(Dont ask me how but am satisfied that I have 2 kids who can support each other in my lifetime)
Am hoping to meet up mums in similar situation, so we can have a laugh, fun, talk and support each other in a bid to find happiness again.

Hi. this section of mn is really online only, people don't often arrange to meet up in real life from this board.
There's mn local - local.mumsnet.com/
which is more about people in the same area connecting
and there's also netmums meet a mum where they have much more real life / internet crossover
www.netmums.com/local-to-you/local-meet-a-mum

I really hope you find a good, supportive social circle and good luck with your move.

Are you on Facebook? There's a group called single parent travel club who meet regularly and are all a friendly bunch. You have to email them to request access to the private members bit, but it's been fab so far for me.

Good luck :)

Good luck. I am not in Northampton and I don't drive but where I live there are various facebook groups for single parents.
It can also be good to have a chat on here on the lone parents board.
I became a single parent in June last year so still pretty new to me too.
