Kissing bearded men

What's that like?

It's on the horizon for me and the beard is putting me off. But i really want to get past it. Ive never kissed a man with a beard. I am expecting it to be unpleasant and play havoc with my skin.

Please tell me i'm wrong.

If it's not new and/or short it will feel surprisingly soft. You might find it a little odd at first but you don't notice for long.

DH has had a beard for 4 of our 6 years together. I like it.

Athyrium · 19/12/2014 20:02

Beard is fine, tis stubble that is baaad!

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 19/12/2014 20:04

Ahh this is good. Its a well established beard.

DH has a beard. It tickles sometimes, which isn't necessarily a bad thing Grin.

All beards are not created equal. XP's beard was scratchy, at any length, and when it was stubble (most of the time) it felt like sandpaper. DH's beard is thick but very soft, at any length, even if he has stubble it's really not that bad.

gaggiagirl · 19/12/2014 20:21

My DH has a thick luxuriant beard. I love it. Its well established. My sensitive skin is fine with it.
Oral wise Wink its delightful. I think my fanjo stubble prickles him though Grin

misskangaandroo2014 · 19/12/2014 20:23

Definitely the texture of beard hair is important. But it's always better than needle sharp 1 day old stubble.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 19/12/2014 20:25

Agree with others. Beards are fine, stubble is what causes problems.
If it's a little rough buy him some beard oil. (Google Zeus FO - friends company)

MrsSaginowsky · 19/12/2014 20:26

I love it. DH has a beard and its wonderful and slightly tickly.

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 19/12/2014 20:27

Thanks all. All sounding very positive so far.

Now just to get to the kissing Grin

It's the sexiest feeling ever. The only time it was awful was when I kissed a smoker with a beard. It was tainted with the smell and was vile.

Mouthfulofquiz · 19/12/2014 20:35

I love beards. What more can I say! And hairy chests!

ShumbTucker · 19/12/2014 20:36

DH has a beard and his kisses are lovely. I bought him some beard oil for Christmas this year, mainly to stop him using my good conditioner Smile

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 19/12/2014 20:37

Hes not a smoker. Unless i can convince him to start smoking an old man pipe Grin

I've never known DH without a beard and we've been together 17 years.
Kissing is fine. And there are other bonuses when he goes south Wink

BMW6 · 19/12/2014 21:03

I love kissing my beardy DH - soooooo masculine and rugged (drifts off into Viking fantasy.....)

PiratesLifeForMe · 19/12/2014 21:05

I started seeing my boyfriend in April, had never gone out or kissed a beardie before. Was not sure Id like it at all.

After the first smooch I was very happy to find the beard soft and lovely, not spiky at all ??

I really do love the beard, totally to my surprise. I now find my self absentmindedly stroking his face/beard while we're watching TV! Blush I know, it's not normal.

Give beardy man a go, you might love it!

PiratesLifeForMe · 19/12/2014 21:06

Oh, and agreed with Pipkin on unexpected bonus 'going south' effects....!!! Grin
