Can anyone recommend a couples counsellor in south Manchester?

DH and I have been together twenty years and I love him still but he is not happy. He has a poor relationship with his family and a heavy stressful job. He says he is unhappy in the marriage but he seems pretty unhappy in every area of his life. We have two children doing exams for the next few years. I know I cannot make him stay and be happy but we would like to go to counselling to try to make things better between us. Has anyone used anyone in this area that they can recommend?

Have you tried relate? They specialise in couple counsellor. Your other alternative is looking at the bacp website for counsellors in your area who do couple counselling. Be very careful though as counselling is not yet regulated and anyone can set themselves up as a counsellor without any formal training! Do not be afraid to ask questions about experience but as long as they are on the bacp register you should be ok. Good luck.
