It's been ten years and still I feel nothing during sex. It's like something switches off. I can feel oral sex it's just anything penetrative I don't feel. Does it ever stop?

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you.

Are you feeling suicidal?

Sortyourmakeupout Tue 18-Feb-14 11:51:34

After ten years it could be a mental thing and not a physical block.

Have you had counselling?

I don't feel much from penetration to be honest.

Suicidal5833 Tue 18-Feb-14 11:52:17

Yes I've been to crisis they have a appointment with my pychiatrist for Thursday.

Suicidal5833 Tue 18-Feb-14 11:52:57

Do you have support from a partner, family, friends?

Suicidal5833 Tue 18-Feb-14 11:59:05

It's worrying that you use that name...are you suicidal? Or crying for help?
This is more than just about sex isn't it?

Please don't define yourself that way...it's reinforcing a negative self image. Get the right help. I'm glad you have supportive friends and family which is a great start but I would urge you to get further counselling/therapy please...

I am a name changer and regular of the mental health board. Every name change is about what mood I'm in. I am getting all the available shelp to help me feel different.

What an above poster said, it could be a mental block. Lots of women don't feel much through penetration- could it be that you're associating this with the rape, because they both involve sex?

If you need to talk, PM me.

Was it definitely different before?

As with sortyourmakeupout's comment....this is actually quite widely experienced

Suicidal5833 Thu 20-Feb-14 06:32:22

Yes it was definitely different before now as soon as someone penetrates it it just goes numb.

I don't want to disappoint you hopefully your appointment will help you but my friend seen one while ago and it was disaster
(different circumstances tough)
She actually made my friend feel worst instead better and it was totally unprofessional and in my friend opinion very out of spite

Stay strong there is probably nothing anyone can do and maybe just maybe they don't have currage to admit it
Did you get justice
did the person who rape you went to the prison?

Suicidal5833 Thu 20-Feb-14 08:23:30

No I didn't get justice.

What is your relationship like, if you're in one? It intrigues me that you word it as 'someone' penetrating you. You don't have to share your body with anyone if you are not ready.
