He does lots of thing but one of my favourites is a candle lit bath with a glass of grey goose and organge, and he puts my pjs on heater to warm up

A cup of tea in bed every morning, and way more than his share of the housework. Grin

Rubs my hair/feet when we snuggle on the sofa. Pours me wine and a bath when he can see I'm stressy and sends me lovely texts during the day.

If he's feeling especially romantic he'll cock his arse away from me when he farts.

Seriously, he listens to me rant when I've had a bad day, makes me a brew when I come in, buys me little treats to cheer me up and makes me laugh.

Regularly cooks family meals, regularly cleans, brings me tea and toast in bed, talks nicely to the cat, fills my car up with petrol and puts air in the tyres, does the supermarket shop, gets up early with the children or stays up late to wait for dd to come home, doesn't tell me what to do, tells me he loves me, lots of cuddles, dances with me, asks me for help, thanks me, picks me up from nights out with friends, laughs at my jokes, goes on a diet with me, lets me have the remote control, asks my opinions, listens to me...

I could go on Grin

God, he's lovely

< sigh >

My DH is not a romantic gesture kinda guy.
Maybe he'll bring me a cold glass of champagne when I'm in the bath, but no hearts and flowers.

That said he has given me rock solid support from the day I met him. Whatever decision I make (and I've made some huge ones) he has stood by me no matter what.

To be honest, I've barely had a day's worry since I met him.

He has RA so I clear ice off his car, make him a coffee to go, and warm up his car whilst sorting out some choons on his iPod. He walks DS round the corner to nursery while I do all that.

He's bought me tickets to see the musician of my dreams for my birthday. He doesn't know I know, but the tickets arrived with the venue clearly marked on the envelope, so I know.

He played the village halls Shock? I first saw him circa 1979 aged 13 - but haven't for years. Can't wait. I'm just going to have to practice my surprised face when I'm presented with the tickers.

after he has had a shower, he writes on the mirror little messages he knows I'll see after he's gone to work, makes me smile every time Smile

He took a half day off work to surprise look after me when I was feeling ill and anxious. And he bought me a cheese straw and chilli Doritos (my favourite junk snack)

He does the dishwasher (my worst chore)

He drums for hours when I want to play Rockband and puts up with my singing

He brings me toast when I'm drunk Grin

He knows my favourite clothing label and surprises me with something from there occasionally.

He never condescends or criticises or patronises me. He notices what I'm all about. He sees us as a team. I never have to feel like a nag.

After three abusive relationships it is like a revelation!!
To think I was in bits at the thought of not being with those idiots is crazy now. It's like growing up in winter and experiencing spring for the first time.

Well you asked for vomit-inducing!!

He irons cos I hate it. He sings me love songs and changes the names/baby to my name apparently did this at work once and now they take the mick he brings me chocolate when he goes to the shop. He says thank you and tells me how lovely my cooking is every night even if its just mundane rubbish. He allows me to be needy every so often and reassures me I am not as bad as I think Smile love him
