Dp went to watch our local football team this afternoon and was going for a drink after, said he'd be back by 7. He's not. And his phones off. I don't mean to sound annoyingly motherly, he's 32! But quite unlike him...:-/

Bad news tends to travel fast.
Hope he arrives home soon and is suitably apologetic.
Do you know who he's with so you could text them...maybe his phone has run out of charge (mine does all the time as I am rubbish and disorganised Blush)

Who has he gone with? He has probably got carried away drinking, and his phone has died.. it is selfish of him not to let you know though.

If there was a serious problem, someone would have contacted you. He has probably had one too many and lost track of time.

yy selfish. Probably not lying in pool of his own fluids. but selfish.

Can you text his friends to check he's ok?

I'm sure he will be absolutely fine. Probably royally pissed perhaps, but fine.

If he was hurt, involved in an accident, in trouble etc you would have heard by now.

If my phone had died I'd use a friends to send a quick text coz I know he'd worry. Why don't they think logically??! No reply from his friend yet

Mind you - your username is insecure24 which sounds a tad stalkerish...

are you really round-the-clock insecure?

If so, either he is wrong for you or you are wrong for him or both.

Do you have any knitting or such-like that you can be getting on with to pass the time til he returns?

Have you moved house recently and he's gone back to old address? (Too much beer to remember where he lives)

Report
PowerPants · 03/03/2013 00:02

You poor thing. I'd be so cross. Text the friend again.

Insecure24 · 03/03/2013 00:03

Um moved in December but if he does go to old address he's a complete prat coz it's 15 miles away!

I only ask about old address as my BFF has to give her DH a slip of paper with their address on when he goes out for more than a few beers! He has been known to turn up at an address they lived at years ago and wonder why his key doesn't work. We call him Paddington now!

They drew 1-1. Dd 2.9 has just stirred asking for daddy (he's not her real dad but all she's ever known). Managed to get her back to sleep Sad
