Walking my dog in the snow and going out to buy fresh croissants, coffee and yoghurt drinks.

He is just lovely.

Tea and toast every morning; washes and valets my car; cooks luscious food; makes me g'n't's every night; rings me up on his way home from work every night to chat; makes me laugh!

Sent me out for a massage when ds was 2 months old, so I could have a relaxing break.

The object of my desires, not yet a DP but I'm working on that, sent me a bar of chocolate because life is always better with chocolate, wrapped around the chocolate was an copy of an email confirming his plane ticket to the UK for next month.

My wonderful dp often sees something in a trip to the shop that he has to buy me - nothing huge and not always your textbook romantic things like flowers or chocolate, things like a new nice pen he knew I would like, or a clip on light for my e-reader.
He is in the habit, now it is so cold, of tucking me up on the sofa with my blanket and bringing me a mug of hot chocolate with squirty cream and cinnamon.
And when he gets up for work he always blows a kiss from the bedroom doorway, he thinks I'm still asleep.

We have been together four years and he's been getting more and more romantic and thoughtful as time goes on.

After a lovely first date I got an email with a link to The Beatles"I want to hold your hand" on YouTube smile

Slugslasher Sun 20-Jan-13 16:20:08

Before iPods, he used to make me compilation tapes and set them up in my car ready to play with romantic songs on.

IDrankAllTheGravy Sun 20-Jan-13 16:26:35

Brought me dippy egg and toast and a cup of tea to wake me up from my lay in this morning.

The other day when I came back from my first run he had a bath waiting with a big cold glass of juice smile

He does lots of other little things, definitely a good egg

BardOfBarking Sun 20-Jan-13 16:36:11

DH climbed out through DS bedroom window to draw a heart in the snow on the kitchen skylight. grin

twostepsfromhell Sun 20-Jan-13 17:06:12

DP waited out in the snow for me after an evening class just to walk me home (back to my home, in the opposite direction to his). smile

Melissakitkat Sun 20-Jan-13 17:24:46

My dp bought me a lovely engagement ring to replace the one I lost.

Insecure24 Sun 20-Jan-13 17:48:27

Wrote "I love you" in the sand the first time he ever told me, leaves me little notes in my handbag or coat pocket to find when i get to work, runs me bubble baths with candles for some 'me time', tells
me he loves me and how beautiful he think I am all the time, offers me his coat when we're out and I'm cold. He gets more romantic every day grin

AltinkumATEalltheTurkey Sun 20-Jan-13 18:06:05

He does lots of little things, he booked me surprise weekends away at least once a year. Makes me breakfast. Tea etc... Every morning.

Today, I came in from work and he's booked is a fortnight away to Spain.

cheesesarnie Sun 20-Jan-13 18:09:32

they all sound lovely!

Wrote 'I love you' in the ice on my car windscreen.
Has kept me stocked up with logs all winter because he's worried I'll be cold.
Builds a fire for me every time he comes round.
Notices when things are about to run out and replaces them - silly things like boxes of matches, dog food - but stuff like that is a big help when you work full time.
Does my ironing even though we don't live together.
Tells me he loves me several times a day.
Tells me I'm beautiful (I'm not).
Is kind to my kids and pets.
Buys me little things like DVDs of shows I've mentioned that I like, just because.

He's lovely...

yoyo123 Sun 20-Jan-13 18:30:51

just gave me his lovely smile..while wrestling the last of the bottle of wine from my grasp!

susanann Sun 20-Jan-13 18:35:51

Brings me tea in bed, tells me Im beautiful and that he loves me, puts up with my depression, is supporting me in loads of ways(inc financially) as Im unemployed at the moment. Is generous and keeps wanting to buy me things and is just generally wonderful! Getting married in May.

cheesesarnie Sun 20-Jan-13 19:53:40

Cailinsalach Sun 20-Jan-13 22:03:18

Mine bought me thermal underwear for Christmas

( hang on....that's shite, isn't it?)

DiscretionAdvised Sun 20-Jan-13 22:05:28

Recorded himself singing/ playing a song that I love and emailed it to me.

Shame we're both living with someone else. But only for a few more weeks.

Pilgit Sun 20-Jan-13 22:54:34

did the 4am feed of our newborn so that I could get a full nights sleep (this could be classed as self serving rather than a romantic gesture as I turn into a screaming harpy on acid with prologued fatigue, but I'm going with romantic!)

Pilgit Sun 20-Jan-13 23:00:14

Let him have a lie in this morning - and picked up a full night feeding of DD2 on christmas eve as he'd been working stupid hours as well as dealing with a new born and a 3yr old (and their lunatic mother....)
