Post on here instead. Say all the reasons why he is an ex rather than current and everyone on here will say it's a good job you left the bastard and set you back on the right path Wink

Why did your relationship end, OP?

loganberry12 · 22/07/2012 20:54

I've had a few threads on here basically he was having emotional affair he left me 4 months ago. I've pleaded begged cried and done all the wrong things, now i only ever text him about our children but i miss him so much but cent accept its over and he's not coming back. although i know we wernt happy at the end i just don't want to spend life without him.If im honest i suppose its the rejection i can't deal with.

It is so hard when they leave you after shitting on the relationship. I sympathise, fortunately for me my x was such a total bastard after he left that those feelings didn't last long! I would recommend rindercella's idea of listing exactly why he is a bastard you are better off without and repeating it until you believe it!

Come on, OP! Tell us three horrible things about him and then tell us something he did that made him look an idiot and that will give us a good laugh. Nothing sentimental now!

Oh God Logan, he sounds awful. He spat on you? Ugh. I really am so pleased you left the bastard.

Unfortunately, you're going to miss him now - it has only been 4 months and you were with him for years. Post as much as you like, there will be loads of support for you. It will get easier, I promise you.

Nah, he only left because you found him out. Liars and cheats hate being caught.

He's not good enough for you Logan. Evenings (particularly after you have had a drink or two) can feel long & lonely. No wonder you are missing him now. I am guessing you're not missing the man who was very nasty to your son, or the man who spat at you, or the man who was too stoned to have sex? You're missing what you thought you had at the time; or what you once had with him. Sadly that man no longer exists or never actually existed to begin with.

Thanks for you, I think you need them tonight x

Obviously you've got MN for those long evenings, but there's other things you can do.

When I was on my own I had a go at learning Spanish - you can download loads of podcasts and apps online that are either free or don't cost a lot, so it doesn't have to be expensive, you can do it at home when DCs in bed and you'll be doing something for you that's positive and fun.

The more you try and fill your life with other things the less you will miss him and the better you'll feel and the less you'll miss him etc etc

He's a lying cheating waste of space and - like Rinder says- he left because he got found out. You're well rid. You deserve much much more.

I totally understand how you feel , I hate my STBXH but still cry over him. The rejection is hard to take, but my H is acting like such a prick now I know it would never work ever again. I come on here snd post (nit an elephant in sight), what I want to text or put on facebook.

I've had a couple of text arguments with him and regretted it.

Just come on here and vent instead...

You need to see him leaving as part of the crappy abuse, you think he left because you weren't good enough for him, he's looking for someone who will accept their child being sworn at, his drug habit and being spat at and who will still have sex with him and be grateful for his wonderfulness, aren't you glad that you aren't good enough for him in that case?! Grin

yes post on here, I really find it helps, because you get it out of your system as you have said what you want to say. the fact he doesnt hear it is irrelevant. it will come back and bite him on the bum one day!
