Just wanted to say what a fab DH I have

DD1 (3) has chicken pox and is pretty bad with it. She has spots all around her genitals and her bottom and is basically non-stop crying at the moment.

She really couldn't sleep last night so she was going to sleep downstairs with DH. He was going to sleep in the arm chair while she slept on the sofa. In the end she wanted to go back to bed but he was up with her every hour. He was so worried about her (and still is).

We also have 5 mo DD2 who doesn't go down till 11.30 at night and wakes anywhere between 1 and 3 times a night, so DH without question volunteered night duty with DD1, even though he had to go to work today (though to be fair he doesn't have a job where it is dangerous for him to be tired).

I just wanted to say this as an antidote to the threads where people complain their DH's never get up in the night, or not even complain, but accept it. DH did it despite working, to help me out, and also just out of concern for DD1. He's a good husband and even now is at work worrying about us all.

Thanks, I'm very lucky. It's a good job really as we don't have any family nearby who can help.

My DH is the same, which why he's my DH. And we have no-one nearby to help either.

He sounds fab. Smile

Hope DD1 gets better soon.
