Easy dessert ideas for Saturday tea

I have just started to introduce Saturday tea in our house so that we all eat together in the evening at least once a week. It is all going very well so far but I feel that we should have a nice dessert after the meal (normally it is just fruit or yoghurts). My DD is 15 months and eats most things but I just can't think of anything! What do other people make/cook/eat for dessert? Cake seems a bit stodgy after a main meal and DD doesn't like chocolate (so I'm not encouraging it!!).

Crumble is easy, especially if you make it with frozen fruits. Or rice pudding is simple and very cheap. In fact, I'm going to make one today - just the thing for a snow day!

Bananas and custard?
Strawberries/peaches and cream?
What about flapjacks or meringues with cream and fruit

flapjacks are always good, try these:

or you could try an Eaton Mess, sounds posh, really easy:
bought meringues - smashed up.
cream - whipped
berries - left to stand with a little sugar sprinkled over for half an hour or so, so they produce juice.
GENTLY mix the lot, you don't want to take the air out of the cream or totally mash the berries.
Serve
Couldn't be easier

These are all excellent ideas! I can't decide which one to try next week now. I think I'll pay extra attention in the frozen food section of the supermarket as Eton mess, crumble and pancakes could all be done very easily and quickly if I had a variety of frozen fruit in the freezer.

I was assuming that any fruit dessert would require fresh produce which is quite limited (or expensive) at this time of year.

Thanks guys!
