Mine would be dried spaghetti or linguine, tin of crab meat, clove of garlic and a pinch of chilli flakes
also
Fray Bentos steak pie + tin of marrowfat peas.
Any other suggestions? Needs to be reasonably quick and effort free - meals for those late-ish nights where Beans On Toast will not do and I could cheerfully eat the wallpaper

not especially cupboard cooking, but uses things you should have or easy to get hold of:
chuck a whole, unpeeled bulb of garlic per person (seems loads but bear with me it works!) in a roasting tin and pour olive oil over and scatter with salt and fresh thymne from the garden. Roast for 30 mins at about 180C
Cook some pasta and drain.
Meanwhile squish the garlic from its papery shells-should be like butter (esp fun if you like pus porn as it reminds me of squeezing spots!) put in a pan and mash with a spoon then pour a small carton of cream over and warm through with plenty of thymne and black pepper.
Stir into the pasta and serve with a green salad and glass of wine...sumptious!

Sponkle that sounds amazing. DP loves roasting his bulbs of garlic so I'm sure he would love it.
You could also try frying some onions and garlic, add tomatoes - fresh are better, but tinned will do. Add a splash of balsamic vinegar and serve with pasta.
