No idea. Have made brownies before but first time we are going over to eat. Luckily I asked if there were any food issues/avoidance...irony is I'm trying to avoid carbs. Can't see it happening. Nigel slater also did a self saucing choc pud in a magazine a while ago but maybe bit tricky to make before hand...

Ah, OK I see. I hadn't twigged that the hosts specified no fruit sorry
. Tricky if they didn't give a reason. One of my relatives won't eat any fruit, but orange/lemon/lime juice in something would be no issue and neither would undetectable dates. I guess you have to play safe if you don't know why.
No carbs and no fruit is v hard <ponders>

Aha, I have it! Sugar-free jelly
. That surely contains no actual fruit?

Chocolate pots....big bar of bourneville, pot of double cream, 4 eggs, 2tspcoacoa, 4 tsp sugar. Melt chocolate with a bit of the cream then blitz it all in mixer/blender, pour into expresso cups and bake in the oven for about 15 mins. Either eat it hot and sloppy or chill overnight and have it smooth and creamy.
tiramisu
any cake
ice cream
profiteroles
pecan pie
baked alaska.....I'd go with the chocpots though as they are easy to carry.
