Oh yes MAS, I love Debbie too.
Like/hate Jennifer. Her voice is snooty but I actually think she can act, she has a range of emotions. So many of the cast are, imho, just poor or lazy actors. At least Jenny has some light and shade.
Ruth has 2 modes, wry and ironic or whispered intensity....

What about the whole 'right on' thing of the Birmingham section of Alan and Usha's wedding. With Ruth 'interpreting' to the lower orders about what everything meant. Susan could have looked it up on the internet but no, not in Ambridge, you betters have to tell you what the exotic Brits are doing.
(Ruth whispers) "The rose petals represent the years of life they'll live together etc etc" Susan "OOOOOOOOO how lovely for such strange and exotic people to do such odd and interesting things, I feel my mind opening!"

It's just so clumsily written sometimes I think......

I quite like jennifer..don't ask me why -it may be asipanemagirlsays that she can act..it may also be thta I have such huge reserves of irritation for others like susan, rooth, pip etc that I haven't anything left for jennifer.. plus I feel a bit sorry for her - am still re the whole ruaridh thing...

and frankly alice pales into insignificance against the sheer punchable annoyingness of helen...now debating whether I hate helen more than any of the others
