Hopefully we can go back to an ordinary tale of country folk?

Spoilers are frowned upon.... There's a thread for that.

Hello!

Vango Thu 22-Sep-16 19:14:02

Ha! There's Peggy again. Completely wrong about things.

Vango Thu 22-Sep-16 19:14:40

Thanks for the new thread! 😁

FiftyNineOhEight Thu 22-Sep-16 19:17:35

Thank you for the new thread. I am completely sucked in again post-trial. it doesn't take long does it!

PresidentOliviaMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 22-Sep-16 19:17:44

PLEASE no more nonsense from Christine and her crappy biscuits.

R4 Thu 22-Sep-16 19:18:23

gossip!
change counting!!
Flower and Produce subterfuge!!!
Mention of Jim!!!!
<happy sigh>

EsmesBees Thu 22-Sep-16 19:18:37

Completely wrong! I did think her advice to Emma was good though.

Thanks for the new thread.

FrancisCrawford Thu 22-Sep-16 19:19:20

Why do I get the idea that if Pip was talking about mushrooms David would be fawning all over her and saying what a wonderful idea it was?

BoreOfWhabylon Thu 22-Sep-16 19:29:12

Was there change-counting?!

I missed that sad

(and thanks, as always, Pseudo)

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g Thu 22-Sep-16 19:29:59

Thanks for the new thread, Pseudo!

Good to hear Jill and Jennifer guardedly comparing notes on their F&P entries. Who will win that inaugural Freda Fry Memorial Plate, or whatever it is? I'm on tenterhooks. grin

GypsyFl0ss Thu 22-Sep-16 19:42:57

Lovely title Pseudo many thanks once again.

R4 Thu 22-Sep-16 19:46:18

We had new-improved-change-counting, Bore
"That will be 7.52"
"There's eight pounds. Shall I give you the tuppence?"

PseudoBadger Thu 22-Sep-16 19:47:58

The title is a Dopey quote from last week which just struck me, so I wanted to use it

BoreOfWhabylon Thu 22-Sep-16 19:48:26

Ooh, that sounds lovely R4 grin

However did I miss that?

Fink Thu 22-Sep-16 20:01:34

It was even better than standard change counting. After "shall I give you the twopence?" there was, " Yes please." And then ADDED PURSE RUMMAGING SOUNDS! Delightful. smile

I wonder if Baby Jack, Daddy, and Grandad at the tea room for 3 hours will feature any change counting.

TheAntiBoop Thu 22-Sep-16 20:11:51

Doubt it. Knob will expect feeding for free

EBearhug Thu 22-Sep-16 20:12:57

I too enjoyed the change counting and mention of Jim. Am I alone in sensing the SWS are doing "proper" Archers, now SOC''s gone?

Also, does Peggy always say "dear" quite so much? A couple of mentions, yes, but it was punctuatiNg every other word.

Putthetulipsthere Thu 22-Sep-16 20:20:40

Lovely episode - again😀. Particularly liked the sparring between Jennifer and Jill regarding the most important event of the year.

Hopefully Lynda will resurface soon to start auditioning for the Christmas show. Wonder what she will come up with this year? - Shakespeare maybe given the anniversary this year. (If so, just make sure it's a comedy Hoo)

BertrandRussell Thu 22-Sep-16 20:43:10

What was Peggy wrong about?

Cherylene Thu 22-Sep-16 20:52:50

What do you do with a 4 month old in a tea shop? confused

bilbodog Thu 22-Sep-16 20:52:50

Thanks for the new thread. I am eagerly awaiting knobs come uppance.

ppeatfruit Thu 22-Sep-16 20:56:34

Ha grin got in on the first page of the new thread! Thanks AGAIN for it psuedo I'll LA tomorrow, but it's so nice to be back to normal on TA isn't it?

Cherylene Thu 22-Sep-16 20:56:46
