I so wanted Pheobe to say, "I discussed it with Hayley"

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 05/07/2015 22:16

@PseudoBadger

I can't resist alliteration Wink

Kate can't seriously think it's the norm for 17 year olds to discuss with their mothers the first time they're planning to DTD, can she? If I tried to have that conversation with my dd, I don't know which of us would be cringing more.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 05/07/2015 22:34

Avid alliteration aficionado also! Grin

Thanks for the new thread, Pseudo.

R4 · 05/07/2015 22:40

If Kate did want that conversation then she should have brought the subject up and not wait for Feebs to do it.

GypsyFloss · 05/07/2015 22:43

Love the new title Pseudo. Perfect.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 05/07/2015 22:48

Just the thought of discussing sex with my mum fills me with horror

She will blame phoebe for this - her own mother couldn't possibly understand but Kate is so wonderful etc

ErrolTheDragon · 05/07/2015 22:57

I suppose it's consistent with Kate's total self-obsession.

minkGrundy · 05/07/2015 23:07

And her delusion that she is phoebe (not much older) friend rather than her mother. I really thought she'd be all cool mum about it. Maybe her daughter having sex makes her feel old. Also she may not want P to repeat her mistake and have kids young but she canmot teally say that without blaming having Phoebe fir her failure at life.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 05/07/2015 23:15

Tbf she never let having phoebe stop her doing what she wanted

Gruach · 05/07/2015 23:51

Am saving all my BOOPS for the return of the superheroine so can only spare a halfBOOP for tonight's double dose of excrutiation.

Although ... that dilapidated house in David's field is causing me some excitement. It'll be Pip's marital abode one day, just as it was her DGM's.

Eastpoint · 06/07/2015 05:04

So is Pip going to fail to fly the nest & stay in Ambridge as she's so in love? What a shame if that's the case.

DoctorTwo · 06/07/2015 05:27

Poor Kate, said nobody, ever. :o

cheminotte · 06/07/2015 06:32

Totally marking my place here Blush . Friday's episode was great, still need to listen to Sunday's.

cheminotte · 06/07/2015 06:33

Fanks for fab Fred Pseudo

ppeatfruit · 06/07/2015 07:46

Travelled Iam sooo sorry Blush I was saying you were confused and then I said it was Alex who was on Dave's land when I meant Rex and topless Tobes ,did you see what an alliterative genius Iam there Grin of course.

When poor Alex was chucked out of Brine's by stupid

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 06/07/2015 08:33

Pip clearly needs a 'Ruth' to her 'David'

Toby doesn't fulfil that and Rex kind of does but I can't say he's coming across much better and they both seem like users

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 06/07/2015 08:35

And my bet is that in 6/7 weeks when the geese go into grass, Toby will have fled bored out of his brains and hounded by the many womenfolk he has shagged then dumped

This will coincide with pip about to leave and she will decide to stay home to help Rex

And we will be stuck with her forever

PseudoBadger · 06/07/2015 08:44

I'm envisaging 250 fox ready meals I'm afraid Sad

OP posts:
BuildYourOwnSnowman · 06/07/2015 09:04

It needs to be factored in as another cost.

Per my calc on the last thread I think they may well end up making a stinking loss

Travelledtheworld · 06/07/2015 09:11

Aw thanks Ppeatfruit I was a bit Confused myself got Home Farm and Bridge farm mixed up... We're all friends on here really aren't we ?

Gruach · 06/07/2015 09:26

And we will be stuck with her forever.

Well we are anyway - unless TV or Hollywood prove too tempting. Grin

And now they've found her a house ...

I do love the way Jill cannot keep the edge of enmity out of her voice whenever she even thinks about a Fairbrother, never mind speaks to one. It seems strangely harsh (and psychotic) to harbour so much hatred for a long dead woman. (But then, I entirely missed the Robin(?) v Elizabeth SL. Perhaps there's justification there?)

Great title! I loves a bit of alliteration, I do

What are the odds that Tubby Bearfrother and Mother Africa Kate will have a little get-together in the tent while the others are all off on the jamboree?

Hoping Drippy Pippy will discover them in flagrante.

That will put the fox amongst the financially-disastrous goslings all right

oddfodd · 06/07/2015 09:42

Bore :o

Great thread title Pseudo - thanks!

God I loathe Pip. I'm just cringing at every fairbrethren interaction. Didn't she learn her lesson with Jude (was that was he was called? The unsuitable older man)?

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 06/07/2015 09:43

And what was the "oh yes I know about family heartache" that Peggy was referring to?
