Roll up roll up for The Wedding special from Catheter Hall. Is the lark flying high? Will Krusty jam that ring on the porky finger?

Am I the only one who thinks it might be ok? Although I'm not sure how much I believe me...

Still think it might be a deading

Although a jilting is more likely and would please Patrick.

"I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date!" Me, not Kirsty - although....

The early bird catches... their foot on the hem of their unfamiliar frock and, grabbing the handrail, pulls down the trellis of roses which are unfortunately attached to the ceiling decorations - the ones Alice thought should be tied to the chandeliers....

GrinSurely MNHQ will be providing dedicated emoticons?

All this talk from Tony about John worries me. Is Tom going to have an accident?

Report
BitOutOfPractice · 23/04/2014 07:51

An accident. Or an "accident" Katie?

Report
PseudoBadger · 23/04/2014 07:58

The Tony talk was just to pile more unbeatable pressure on to Tom. Now he has to make Kirsty and his parents happy. He was happier when his dad didn't care.

The Cranford Chrystal/haywain bit is worrying me.

Or Helen will do something to spoil the day.

They really are playing with us. I was set to go along with the doom scenario after so many clues in that direction but can be persuaded the other way now.
After the ruination of the expensive dress, will she come to her senses, realise she's been bridezilla-bonkers and revert to our down-to-earth Krusty that we know and love (the sort that can dead a pheasant, mani-pedi notwithstanding).
Was Tom's talk with John the moment when he Grew Up, when he decided to stop being in John's shadow and become his Own Man. Marrying Krusty and starting his own family unit is the beginning of his new life.

Also, if the wedding is cancelled or there is a honeymoon death then it's all a bit over-and-done-with. If we carry on then there will be years (?decades?) of unraveling the mess of the rebound relationship - much more satisfying.

Or I could be totally wrong - I haven't looked at the spoiler!

Agree with R4 - we have all the time in the world. I think sw are setting up for the long haul with debt - tying in with Peggy inheritance drama - and general anti-climax of married life after such a huge wedding build-up being just two possibilities. Interesting you all think of Tom and Kirsty as a rebound thing - I've been waiting for them to get back together ever since they split up over the supermarket rep. I'll never forget her reaction when she heard he and Brenda were getting together and was waiting for Tom and Brenda to break up ever since - another example of a long-haul plot. I think T and K will go off on honeymoon and onto the back-burner while other plot lines come to the fore.

Reconciliation with Pat and Tony is setting us up for similar scenario to ruination of expensive dress and realisation that cheaper one was just as good? Tom and Kirsty will be living off the farm in expensive new-build, interest rates will rise, they'll almost certainly find themselves in negative equity so they can't move and they'll wonder why they didn't build their own house on the farm when they had chance.
