After tonight's episode I think that David Archer might me the christmas murder victim.

The guy he was talking to about the stolen hay sounded very threatening and sinister. I think he'll come back to Brookfield, David will confront him and be killed. You heard it hear first folks. Grin

I cracked up when he said "I've got him bang to rights". Was that meant in an ironic way do you suppose?!

I thought that too Shock after Pip had identified all the plants in the hay as Brookfield plants Hmm

Not David though - there are loads of other far more annoying people they should bin...

Ooh, please let angry hay rustler mistake Will Grundy for David Archer and kill him instead

GrimmaTheNome · 09/12/2010 21:12

'hay rustler' - how very apt, there would be a lot of rustling wouldn't there.

he he he

'hay rustler' makes me think of guinea pigs

I think Pip has been making far too many "things are going so well" statements recently. Could be her ... (maybe while trying to protect David)

mylife I don't think anyone would complain about that plot twist Grin

OOOOh, maybe David hears an intruder in the yard, comes out and accidentally shoots him and it turns out to be Jude crawling=back-with-his-tail-between-his-legs from America. That would be great! Grin

Ooh what if it is Pip!
To go off in a complete tangent, you mark my words: in a few years Kenton and Jolene will get together ( or is she old enough to be his grandmother?) and Kathy will freak :)

Booo - I've been thinking exactly the same about Jolene and Kenton.

GrendelsMum · 10/12/2010 08:54

Ooh yes, I think it's Pip, shot by David who mistakes her for a guinea pig hay rustler.

Also, yes, definitely, Jolene and Kenton will get together, Kathy will freak, Jolene will give up the pub, Harry will marry Fallon and they will run the pub together. You read it here first.

Is there really going to be a murder?

I'm trying to work out now who I would rather see slaughtered. It's a tough decision when there's only the one bullet.

(If it is David it will most likely be a revenge attack by badgers. They have long memories.)

This would be my plot. Freddy and Lily go crazy due to non use of ice rink. They run away to Ruth and David's to hide in the haybarn. In the meantime Will blames his dad for stealing the hay AND the trees, and tells David this, Ernie hot on his heels to clear his name. A tussle ensues between the three of them involving a shotgun, scaring the children, who jump out of their hiding places in the barn. They are narrowly missed by the bullets, as David thinks it is the thieves back for the loader. He is beside himself at nearly hurting them, and feints. Helen has come round for a cup of tea with Ruth/to help out/to generally overdo it, and the shock sends her in to premature labour. None of the men are hurt from the fight. They rush Helen to hospital but the car skids on the ice, and that is enough excitement for one episode. I can't kill anyone, sorry!

But something must happen to stop Pip going to Felversham because her whining is annoying me!

The badgers shoot Pip in a revenge attack, mistaking her for David. David runs out, sees her dead, sings an operatic aria and tries to shoot himself. The gun is wrestled from him by Helen, at the same moment as going into a super-speedy labour lasting less than 15 minutes. Eddie mistakes Helen for a turkey, and kills her. When he realises his mistake, he sings an aria and shoots himself. Clarrie, who was watching from behind a bush, blames Ruth for it all, and kills first her and then herself.

Unnoticed, the badgers steal Helen's baby to bring it up as a badger.

I have caught up with Thursday's episode now. David did his bit to put the wind up Steve Bateman and is happy to leave the issue to FarmWatch and the NFU. OTOH, I think that Pip is going to carry on being an amateur sleuth and she might cop it. Unless SB threatens her, David comes to her defence and he cops it (that could be interesting: Pip coping with the guilt for the next twenty years).
