Leaving buggy outside - Locks??

LouLou78 · 08/06/2010 09:47

Does anyone have a lock for their buggy when leaving it outside?

Haven't ever had to leave mine yet but planning the summer holidays and can see with swimming etc Im going to have to. Not booked yet but going to be center parcs or similar.

What do you do? Is a bike lock adequate? has anyone ever had one pinched?

Thanks

I heard about a woman that had one pinched from centre parks.

Think a bike chain would be sufficient. They had some in home bargains for about £2.

Thanks for that. Can't believe someone would do that, its awful - what a start to your holidays!.

Guess I wasn't being paranoid then and will definately invest in a bike lock.

My friend had her buggy pinched from outside a ride at Disneyland Paris. Could be a similar situation at any theme park, I certainly would buy one if I was leaving my pram. Any bike lock would be sufficient.

I just wouldn't leave my pram if possible. I would definately lock it if I had to!

Our local pool has cubicles with doors to put buggies in - but - they are not lockable!
I have a bee+ - wonder if that would still be there after our swim!

pushchairs.co.uk do a retractable lock for buggies, i have one and its really small so i can keep it in the zipped compartment of the buggy or nappy bag so i dont forget it.

i know someone who had a disabled child and a new baby who had her double buggy stolen at a swimming pool.

there is a buggy lock you can buy with a 4 digit combination - my buggy buddy - approx £7.

I got a couple of locks from poundland to use when i go to center parcs, only got them when i got my bugaboo frog. Got a thin wire combination lock and one with a key.
Never had a problem leaving cheaper buggies in the buggy park, but didn't want to risk it with a more expensive pram. I also used to take the bag clips off the handle just incase someone fancied them!
