BJCM or Bee plus?

I'm due any day now and have a falling apart mamas and papas travel system from DS1 to use for when the new baby needs a carry cot, but it really won't last much longer, not to mention that it pushed like a tank with a bigger kid in it, and is difficult to steer whilst holding my big boy's hand. I want to buy a new pushchair for after the carrycot stage, and I've narrowed it down to the city mini or the bee plus. Obviously the city mini is much cheaper and folds easier, but it's not rear facing and the handle doesn't extend. I basically need to know how easy it is to fold the bee plus (I played with the bee two years ago and just couldn't fold it!), if it will hold a bigger toddler up till 3, and how light it is to carry (ie- does it do everything the BJCM does?) Also, how does each buggy push with a heavier kid in? Has anyone tried both and can advise? Thanks for all your help, I have until midnight tonight to decide!

I've had the bjcm but have sold it to get the bee plus. My dc is 2y and i still want rear facing. He is in the buggy a lot while we take his sisters to school. If you can afford the bee plus i'd go for it. Like you said, the adjustable handle height and rear facing are big pluses (if you'll pardon the pun!). Also bee plus is much bigger seat than old bee. Even the hood extends upwards several inches from seat back on the new one, so they already built in more headroom with that and then the back extends too

I've heard bee's are tricky to fold when brand new but apparently they get easier with use. I think the bee folds smaller than the bjcm. I'm hoping it will fit in our zafira boot with all 7 seats up! Good points about the bjcm are it's roomy seat, nice quality and huge canopy. Canopy on bee plus is still substantial and effective too. Bee plus also oozes quality. Looks like a piece of modern art!
Both have great resale value. Think i would prefer bee esp for a new baby rear facing is important to me.

I thought the bee pushed easier with 2y old. They're both really good though.

i have double bjcm and bee + love them both and can push double with 1 hand, toddler and newborn. the parent facing does it for me though. You'd prob regret not getting rear facing buggy.

I went to buy a bee the other day, but when I put the baby in it I realised it was still too small really and she wouldn't fit in it comfortably by the winter with a coat on. It was the width that was the problem, but shes only going to be one next week.

I love my icandy cherry, and if you dont need the carry cot then it will cost £300 so still cheaper than the bee. I saw a 4 year old in a cherry a while ago, so it will last and it is lovely to push. The only problem is you need to take the seat off to fold it, which was why I wanted a bee for buses.

Have my bee+ now. It is easy to fold and put up but if seat is rear facing there's a tendancy to catch your foot on the seat rather than the brake making it tricky. Must wear dainty shoes! Is probably time i gave up fat crocs!
