Why can't I find out the price of an iCandy Cherry?

I've emailed iCandy directly and also John Lewis but no reply.

No information on the web either - am I just being dim or is there some sort of conspiracy going on?

Can somebody please let me know how much I could expect to pay for one? I have this horrible feeling that the reason they're not telling me how much it costs is that it will give me a minor coronary when I find out!

Thanks

Hi, there are lots of rules that the Icandy manufacturers set about the sale of their products, for example they can't be sold through the web. They say it's so they can be sure that a qualified person can demonstrate etc when someone buys one... not sure, probably more about fixing the price? Anyway when I bought my Cherry last year it was £285 for the pushchair then another £135 for the carrycot. Think I saw in John Lewis the pushchair has gone up to £300 so expect the carrycot will have gone up a bit too. Hope that helps!

'Cos they're stupid. I have an iCandy Apple, love it. But the stupid business of not being able to find anything out about them online must hurt their sales. I nearly gave up but unfortunately they make very good pushchairs. When I bought my Apple two years ago the Cherry was £399 including the carrycot so round about that as snowpuma says.

Hi,

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated

Weirdly, an iCandy brochure (complete with price list) arrived in the post a couple of days after I emailed them.

I have to say I'm just not that keen on the whole idea. No matter how good their product is, I hate the whole idea of preventing competition by not allowing people to buy online.

I'm torn between the Cherry and the Stokke Xplory at the moment and am leaning towards the latter in light of their acceptance of market forces.

Oh well, we'll be 'test driving' some soon so is at least good to know where we stand price-wise.

Thanks again for your help...

Just a quick note to say I love my Cherry! It's a fantastic pushchair and don't let yourself be put off by the fact that they prefer to sell it in shops than on the internet. It's so easy to use and is a great size.

I was in John Lewis yesterday - the pushchair (suitable from 6 months) is £300 and the carrycot (from birth) is £145. total cost is £445... so on a par with others (and cheaper than bugaboos and stokke). So far, I have narrowed my choices down to icandy Cherry (+ carrycot) or Mamas and Papas Sola (+ carrycot).
