Baby jogger city mini vs city classic

Help! We've bought a baby jogger city classic for our first baby (due in July). However now i'm thinking maybe i should take it back and swap for the city mini, as its so heavy! We did think the mini was a bit too small, and would cramp a toddler, also the wheels on the classic are much better (12 inch pneumatic). However i'm thinking i may just get a lightweight umberella folding style buggy when baby is 1 or so?

Help! I'm totally confused. Does the mini cramp toddlers? Do pneumatic wheels make any difference at all?

Of the 2 I prefer the mini - it is fairly generous and a smooth ride and compact. I want a mini myself!

well depends on your lifestyle. Air tyres are great for long/rough walks and heavy toddlers, tend to be much much easier to push..

I have a city elite (lot like the classic but bubble shaped hood), and a city mini.
I prefer the city elite for daily use. I do walk a lot (average 8 miles a day) and yes the air tyres make a big difference so much confort for you pushing and for baby.
I need the city elite for quick outings in the car where we'll be in town or shops. Is smaller to get round aisles, lighter to fold and lift if i choose to use the bus, it's my alternative "umbrella fold".
Would suggest you do same in long run!

Sorry meant city mini for quick outings around town etc.
Elite is fab for off road, bad pavements, everyday proper "big" pram. Toddler not at all cramped in city mini mind. Elite is luxurious. Mini is way better than umbrella fold in my opinion. Great alternative where you could use lighter buggy.

Multi - ooh i'm jealous i want both! Unfortunately money/space means thats not really option. Is the mini really that much lighter/easier to get round aisles etc?

A part of me thinks maybe i could just use sling for quick trips to shops etc? and when i do get the bus, i think most time i'd be fine getting on with the buggy not folded up, and even if i did have to, not like i'd be carrying it far?

Not that massive a difference really. Mostly the mini is smaller folded, a bit lighter and easy to carry in one hand while baby is on hip or holding other hand. So really much better for public transport. If you would use a sling for on bus then i'd stick with the classic.

I have the elite - very luxurious and love it - then I have a maclaren for shorter tripes or trips that require smaller pushchair - though I do still take th elite on bus at times
