I am getting this one for when Dc2 is born in september.

Can I ask what you ordered and how much it came too?

I know it's going to be soo expensive. I'm gonna need the pram, The carrycot, The 2nd seat unit and raincovers for all 3.

I have already ordered one for delivery in June, which is supposedly the first time that they will be available in the UK, so am and about you getting April delivery!

Would also be interested to know how much you are paying for yours.

Please let us know what it is like.

I replaced by beloved city mini with the icandy cherry for the rear facing option and did think about changing again for the select but the weight and folded size put me off (it has to live in the boot of my corsa)

i have 15month old twins so just the buggy and extra seat kit, its £579 posted didnt get any raincovers as i read a review about it being thin and splitting so i just bought a couple of cheap ones from e-bay £5.57 for both posted. i never use them anyway but just so i have some. the babyjogger ones are £20 each. my aim now is to make £579 on e-bay from things i dont really need and my buggy that the select will replace so then the cost will not hurt as much, so far i am on £205. just got to stop buying on e-bay as well

When i look at the amount of things i buy on e-bay and never use, it is shocking!!! and i dont buy half as much as i used to. then i have to relist it to make room for more things i dont need. anyway i have decided to stop looking at buggies and baby bits and sell....sell.....sell my way to a shiny new buggy. i hope i like it!! not sure about the front wheels, its the only thing but i am used to monster air tyres. i just want to feel normal again without feeling like a massive tank when walking around with my twins. but its important that they both have a good view and both have a nice seat. anyway i now have £220 from e-bay sales...only £359 to go.

Thanks for that link Mel, they look like they'll do the job fine.

I know exactly what you mean about feeling like a tank when out with the twins. My main pushchair is an ABC Triple Everest, but that really is a tank. The Mountain buggy with buggy board is slightly less obvious, but still quite large.

I have some reservations about the front wheels on the City Select too as they look a bit fragile but hopefully they'll be ok. I'm hoping the pros of the seating positions and the size of seats will outweigh any cons regarding the wheels. I can't wait for it to arrive now - I'm so impatient!

I really hope it's as good as it appears. As well as the ones I have, I've tried the Pear, First Wheels Twin, a Vibe, the nipper 360 and I thought I'd really found "the one" with the iCandy Peach Blossom, however, that one didn't work out either , but it was nice to try them all anyway

Well done on the ebay sales! I must get listing too.

you are like me, i have also had the jane powertwin, jane twintwo, phil and teds e3, sport and vibe, abc, icandy pear, easywalker, airbuggy, maclaren twin techno, mamas and papas twin aira, bebecar vector duo, (didnt go for the peach as the back seat doesnt sit upright but it does look great) and the hundreds of singles i have had over the years. always trying to find the perfect buggy.....

And I thought I was bad with prams. lol.

Can you both come back and let us know what you think of them when you get them?

Thanks.

Thanks Mel for the tip off. I also thought that the first stocks into the UK were going to be in June. Cos I really want a black one, I'm down for one from the May delivery. And I've ordered the works - two car seat adaptors, two carry cots, two rain covers - just wanted to get everything together.

oh are you having twins playftseforme? the pregnancy is hard but when they are here is just great. my two are just soooo lovely and they play really well together. the only hard thing is travelling around with them and always needing a double buggy. you will not regret buying those car seat adapters. make sure you get the click in bases for the car as well and it will be heaven going out when they are tiny.

Yeah, twins on the way Mel, just received my second car seat and base from Amazon today (have a 3yo already so learnt that I needed the click-in base early on, after trying unsuccessfully to wrestle with an empty car seat and a seat belt ). Have a feeling I'm going to be developing strong arms heaving two car seats around though!

yes you will, my two are still in their maxi-cosi car seats as oscar has only just reached 9kg and alice isnt there yet. they are handy for carrying into the doctors, dentist and swimming. they are heavy now, i have no idea what we will do about swimming when we move to the next stage seats as i cant take a buggy in but also cant have them toddling around while i am getting everyone changed. might have to park my new baby jogger outside the door and load and unload from there. we use a private pool on the side of a lovely old manor house. i wonder if the seats on the babyjogger will be like the bugaboo ones that you can take off and use as a seat on the ground for picnics? i think the longer clip on the bugaboo seats probably helped and i am not sure the babyjogger seats have a firm base to them. we will soon find out, not long now, just counting the days...

I got one of these sent over from Canada a few months back and am absolutely loving it. Only using as a single at the moment but i'm due in June and there'll only be a 16 month gap. I've used it several times as a double though with a friends toddler. It is expensive and I would never have dreamt of spending half that amount of money on any other pushchair but this one looked and is so amazing I had to have it!
I really wanted both kids to be able to face either way as my 14 month old son still faces both ways depending on his mood and I really like being able to talk to him. Also it seems to be one of the few tandems where the kid in the back/extra seat doesn't get a raw deal.
Overall you can really tell that Baby Jogger have actually thought this one through - silly little things like being able to easily access the basket from all sides, and having a handbrake instead of a footbrake, and having a huge hood so no more draped blankets - make all the difference to day to day life. It also has a tiny fold for any pushchair, let alone a double.
I can steer it with one hand with minimal effort even with 14month old, basket full of shopping, changing bag on the handles and a wire basket balanced on the hood! Granted it is heavier with two kids in, but which pushchair isnt?! With a 14month old and a 3 year old it's still easily steered, although not so easy to get up kerbs - you have to use your foot to push too. Having said that, it will go up a dipped kerb without lifting at all, just rolls straight over.
Anyway hope my little rave has been helpful I really struggled finding reviews before I bought mine and found it really annoying. concerning where you can get them in the UK, the only place I know of is lullaboobaby.co.uk (although I haven't looked into it much as I hjave mine already). They're taking pre-orders for April still I think x

thanks so much jodi, its nice to hear from someone who actually has one. the reason i wanted one as well was the position of the back seat both of my twins love to see out which is why i have had side-by-side. also the seats are the same size, which is perfect for twins. i cant wait.....20 days to go. i am already planning small improvements like a couple of beaker pockets on the basket and/or a couple of mesh pockets on the back of the seats. it looks like the phil and teds panniers might fit as well for when we have big trips out, although the basket is massive so might not need it.

ohhh, i have been looking at this

have you seen the video on youtube??? it is SO very cool

the only thing i worried about is that i would want to use it with them facing each other, because ds2 likes looking out, but i want ds3 facing me

i worry that ds2 would be able to just kick ds3 because the seat is a bit lower down? do you think that woul dbe a problem? (well, obv it would be a problem if he kicked him, but ykwim!!)

i did think that as well, i think on the youtube one she does have them facing each other at one point. you could put the longest legged one at the bottom but then you would have the heavier one at the front (unless you have twins).

no, not twins, in fact, ds2 is 2.5 yrs now, so really i shouldn't be buying more doubles at all!
