Jane Powertwin advice please - nb + toddler

Just bought a lovely second hand Jane Powertwin, for my 2yo and bump about to be born...
So how does the rear seat support a newborn please? Is it actually suitable for a newborn? We have the Strata carseat too, so assuming he/she can be in there for most of the time...but do i need to buy something to support little floppy nb heads?!!
I could borrow my friend's P+T cocoon to plonk in the back seat, just wondering if that would be more suitable till LO starts sitting up...
Does that make any sense?! Just bit confused and looking at the rear seat, i just feel like LO will be a bit swamped!

(caveat: am completely happy with the purchase, i love power twins, just working out the interim logistics...)

Hi, I have one, and have used it from when dd2 was a new born. I know what you mean, but it was fine.
Just out of interest, how much did you pay for it, dd2 is 3 now, so I'm thinking of selling it.

we paid £230 for it with the car seat, she was selling the buggy on its own for 190 i think. if you look around netmums/mumsnet/ebay i think that's about standard, give or take...
Did you have a cositoes/buggy snuggle for dd2 or did she stay in the car seat mostly?

Hi,
I had a buggy snuggle, I didn't have the compatible car seat (I just used the dd1's).

Hello there,

Just crashing - am also thinking of a Powertwin for my 18 month old and newborn but don't have a compatible car seat - could you just clarify for me please, is it ok to lay newborns on the back seat if its fully reclined in a generic cocoon?

Is that how you've used it?

Thanks!

I have a power twin and have put newborns in the back seat with it fully reclined. I used a fleece / sheepskin cocoon. The phil and teds cocoon I was lent did not fit.

Hi,
I used mine for a newborn. It was November, think she was in a buggy snuggle (maybe snowsuit too ) Can't remember it being a problem.
