Hello everyone,

Am interested in a pram for sale on the for sale board and was wondering if someone could tell me how it works.

How do you normally pay for purchases?
What if things go wrong?
Is there any cover if the item is not as described or doesn't arrive?

Thanks for any replies.

scratchet are you new to mnet?

I think if its someone you don't 'know' or even if you do important to get lots of pics esp of areas that wear ask lots of questions. obv depends how much it is too and what it is

normally payments are made by pp but am not sure how that covers you outside of ebay. I have bought and sold alot on mnet and all has gone fine for me. Have sold more pushchairs than bought tho tbh but all mine that i've sold have been very new.

Oh and if things go very wrong there is a lynch mob friendly bunch of miffed huns pushchair enthusiasts to help you sort things out.
You can ask if the seller has a good reputation and usually someone will have dealt with them and will comment.
People have been stung so be careful.

Thank you,

Nicola, I am not new to mn but am new to the pushchair section having rediscovered a passion for prams DH despairs!

The pram i like is a bug (pictures of it are beautiful) and the seller seems really lovely but having never bought from here i am cautious. Bank transfer seems risky somehow and am sure i won't be covered if item does not arrive.

If you pay via "personal" payment paypal yu will not be covered, however if you pay via "purchase" paypal you will be covered.

I personally wouldn't pay via bank transfer unless the seller was v.well known to me.

Ok Thanks again.

She has asked if i will gift it via paypal or if i will cover costs.

Am worried as it is a lot of money.

Perhaps I would be better finding one near home and collecting?

Don't want to mess anyone about.

If it was something i really wanted i would just add the fees and pay as a purchase through paypal, you do then have some comeback if the item doesn't arrive or isn't as described.
