icandy pear - will it fit in a renault clio?

hi. we're currently looking to buy a double buggy, and at the moment the favourite seems to be the icandy pear, however, it looks pretty big when it's folded. I was just wondering if anyone knew if it would fit in the boot of a renault clio? We really don't want to have to get a bigger car just to fit a pram!

We also like the Phil & Teds vibe, so would that be a better option?

All pushchairs have their measurements/dimensions on the internet if you google hard enough so just get out your measuring tape - alternatively most shops will let you try the pushchairs in your car if you can park near the shop. Personally I'm getting the Peach rather than the Pear as had lots of friends tell me the Pear is too heavy and Peach folds much smaller.

thanks...I know I can take the car along to shops to try them out, I was really just wondering if anyone had the pear and a clio, because sometimes it's a bit different getting the pram to fit in a shop than it is when you've got a baby, shopping bags etc etc to contend with as well!

I had thought the pear was really heavy when i tried it in the shop the other day, so it's interesting to hear that's what your friends think as well. think the phil and teds is starting to look like a better option!

hiya,

not sure how big a clio boot is?

But i have a 3dr peugeot 106 and my pear went in that fine, was ALOT better when dd was in the carseat but with two seats or seat and carrycot it fitted! No major shopping though unless i packed it at the kids feet.

We have just traded for a vibe as i no longer needed two lie flat seats (ds was only 16mo when dd arrived and napped twice a day) and such a huge buggy, dd is 1 and ds is 2.4 and the vibe goes in perfectly all in one piece and i can shop like a mad women lol!

Overall i couldnt choose between the two if i had to, pear was perfect for a year then the vibe is now!
