Help me find a replacement...

Am posting and running so won't reply immeditely...

My beloved chicco trio pushchair has died - a wheel has snapped off. I need a new one for dd2 (almost 2). Can you help me find a replacement??
Here are my criteria in order of most needed:

  • has a 'step' on the back that dd1 can ride on for a few minutes when she gets tired...
  • sturdy (I have petite star as my lightweight one but I need something sturdier for day to day and more than town centres)
  • good brakes (so no maclarens)
  • decent hood (prefrebaly integral but not that important)
  • compact and folds fairly small
  • fairly cheap (under £100) but I would also consider 2nd hand

I prefer something that can be used from birth in case we have a 3rd but its not important

So mn pushchair gurus what would you recommend???

Loola Up? Would probably have to be second hand to get one for under £100.

It doesn't have a step but buggy boards work well with it.

I find it sturdy as it is quite chunky. However it's not very good at going off road as the wheels aren't that big. Good suspension so bumpy roads fine but probably wouldn't take it through the woods.

Good brakes yes, very impressed with them especially compared to my OBaby umbrella fold.

Decent hood - not really sure what a rubbish hood would be like I haven't had any problems with it. It comes on or off but can be folded with it on. The raincover zips onto the hood which can be fiddly as I like to take it off when it's not raining.

Folds into an umbrella style shape (rather than flat) and can fold seat and frame separately if you have an awkward space to put it in (also folds together both ways)

Suitable from birth, rear facing, flat lying without a carrycot (also compatible with maxi cosi carseats)

Nice comfy seat and seat covers wash really well and air dry in about 1/2-3/4 hour.
