Pushchairs

Suggestions please

So I am due to have dc3 in the summer and need pushchair suggestions.

I would like something that folds as one piece, can't be doing with having to take the thing to bits in the rain with a screaming baby.

I spend a lot of time with my older 2 children in muddy football pitches so need something that would handle this quite well and endure all weathers.

Something reasonably lightweight and easy to fold.

I walk a lot but I do have a car, walking is my preference

I have 2 really big steps to my front door so smithing that will withstand me having to bump it up and down the steps which is also another reason for it not to be too heavy.

It did cross my mind to get a Maclaren XT with a cosy footmuff for newborn stage but I don't think this will handle the muddy fields. Also not rear facing.

I have had a bjcm in the past but hated it. I didn't like the round handle and one of the first times I used it the front wheel got caught on the smallest of potholes and the whole thing almost tipped. I sent it back.

I was also thinking about the Out n About Nipper. The only thing with that is to be rear facing you need a carrycot. I don't want to have to waste money on purchases that will be short lived so I could possible do without carrycot and stick to the one piece hold. Anyone any experience of a nipper with a newborn and no carrycot?

Gosh I think that list is asking for the impossible. Any suggestions or thoughts on Nipper v4.

TIA.

I had an Out n about nipper (it was a double but I'm assuming the single is similar!) and I LOVED it.
With a newborn, I put a Phil n ted's cocoon inside, which fitted perfectly and meant I could easily lift it out and DD stayed asleep... not sure if it's the same now, but I wrote to Phil n ted and they sent me some extra clips (free) and I made up a strap that joined the straps on the cocoon to the out n about straps for when we were on bumpy tracks. If we were on pavements I didn't bother as it was fairly snug.
Lovely pram, very manoeuvrable and quick to fold etc
I'm sure someone will come along with more recent experience of various prams... my DD is 8 now, so quite a while ago!

Thank you Rosie. Good to know the cocoons fit, did you have the baby's head nearest your legs or the other way so baby was almost looking at you. I know the nipper has been around a while which kind of made me think that perhaps I was missing something more recent but then if it ticks the boxes. Thanks again.

Look at mountain buggy swift

Slightly lighter and smaller than nipper. Folds smaller also

You can just add sheepskin liner, or newborn insert like the 'summer insert' if you want cosier for newborn. Wouldn't get carrycot as then not one piece fold anymore.

The mountain buggy swift also takes weight up to 25kg so will cope with being loaded with older kids crap half the time

Thank you Artandco, I had pencilled the swift on the list to. I like the look of the fold on it to.

Also, I read they will be changing the swift to have a new adjustable handle and maybe some other bits shortly, so I would hold back on buying until nearer the time. Same for all brands really, most will release usually positive adjustments every 6 months or so, and some haven't changed for ages so due to
