Armadillo flip xt - standing fold?

I'm looking at replacing my travel system now DD is 15 months. We have the OBaby Zezu, and love it. However, it is big and doesn't really fold, so it takes up all the space in our porch, which is getting so irritating! At the moment the wheels are constantly muddy and wet, and rolling it in and out of the lounge to get in and out of the house is driving me bonkers.

So, I'm on a quest to find a new pushchair!

Requirements are...

  • Parent facing
  • Easy to fold
  • Standing fold
  • Folds small
  • Four wheels

Preferably also...
  • Good for light off roading
  • Not too heavy
  • Suitable for short (me) and tall (DH) people

Budget is up to £300, but could got to £500 for the perfect one!

So far, I'm thinking the M&P armadillo flip xt, but I can't work out whether it is standing fold. It really needs to be as if it has to lay flat it will be a nightmare in the porch. Does anyone have one and/or know if it is standing fold?

Alternatively, any other suggestions for a suitable pushchair?

Thanks!

What do you mean by standing fold? I have a flip xt and can fold it one handed if that helps? It lives either in boot of car or leant against wall.

Standing fold - so when folded, does it stand up on its own, on the wheels/handle. If it has to lie down flat on the floor it will be no good as it will take up all the floor space in the porch and you can't open the front door without moving it, so we will have the same problem we do now. I'd like it to be able to "stand up".

Easywalker mosey looks interesting, but think the flip xt appeals more at the moment...

Fab, thanks!

Sorry, another question... Do you use a foot muff with it, and if so, does it fold ok with the footmuff on? It's just that I read a review where they said the only bad thing was that it didn't close with the footmuff on, but the one they were using wasn't the "official" one, so I guess it might still fold with that one?

And do you need a rain cover, or does the hood give enough coverage?

Thanks again!

It comes with rain cover. The hood gives great cover but DD is sooooooo nosey that she wants to see the world. Even through rain splattered plastic Wink but its the hood is great if it starts raining and caught out not bringing rain cover

I have a foot muff on mine, a cheapy red kite one from asda, quite thick. Never had a problem folding it. Its always attached. HTH
