Bugaboo Bee: what the buggery is this?

Bought a second hand bugaboo bee 2009. Love it but can't for the life of me work out what the long strap hanging off the centre of the handle bar is for??

Anyone shed any light?

According to the instructions it's to put round your wrist so that if you let go of the handle (or your hand slips) the buggy doesn't go careering down the hill into a road.
Nope, I never used it.

Maybe the loop has come unstitched?

The loop has become unlooped!

Mine did this. It is possible to make a loop and feed it back through though.

It should have a small loop right at the end, Feed the main strap through the little loop and then put your hand in. Pull hand up and the loop will get tight, like a hangman's noose. I have 8 Bug's here, you get to know what to do with them!!

Has your Bee started to veer to one side yet? I have a fix for it if it does. Also, did you lube your hood clamps?
