Need advice on what pushchair to get. Going on U.K. Beach holiday, travel system too big and heavy so looking for something light for a 2 year old. Thinking McLaren.. But so many different brands, I'm confused! Budget around £150.

I have a maclaren triumph which is a lovely light weight (5.2kg) travel pushchair but it doesn't have a full recline it does have a recline but not totally flat but it was enough for naps. I think the quest 6.8kg has a full recline. Boots have it on offer for 165 in two different colours, so not far off your budget and you'd collect a lot of points. (newest version only has full recline, so watch out if you look at second hand ones)

I think the XT and techno versions are heavier

I'd check that the pushchair does fit in your car first though, as although they are small fold they can be long and may only fit diagonal across the boot if you have a small boot. In the past if we have had a lot of luggage in the boot we have put it in the footwell of the back seats, either flat across the length, or upright and used a spare seat beat to hold it safely in place.

there are of course lots of other brands so I'm sure someone else will be along to share their favourites. Hope you have fun on holiday!

We have an Uppababy G-Luxe which is good. Light and mice to push and a good recline. My 18 month old falls asleep happily in it when out. Got for £150. Standardly they are £200 but we found places with it on offer.

Oh, and I'd recommend getting a liner for the seat to save it from sun cream and ice cream spills. I found tkmax usually have end of season designs much cheaper than mothercare etc.

Thanks Autumn, I will look at that McLaren, that's a good deal and I could do with some extra Boots points!

Haribolover I did look at the G-luxe, I really like it. I've seen it for £149 so within budget, thank you
