All terrain pushchair on a budget

After posting on here previously I think I can cope without a parent facing pushchair for dog walking, and would like recommendations for the best 3 wheel pushchairs suitable for off road walks.

I am looking to buy second hand and am not in a hurry so will be waiting for a bargain. I have been looking at out n about nippers on eBay and I really like them(liked them in kiddicare when originally looking when I was pregnant but went for more of a travel system) but wanted to know what other models I should be looking out for on there. Also, what versions of the nipper are best. I don't want to end up with a 10year old pram on its last legs! Really like the idea of large wheels and a handbrake if possible.

Do you know what version you have chumbler? Some of the ones I've seen on eBay look a bit worse for wear, materials faded and scuffed up!

The Nipper is an excellent lightweight off roader, the updated models have an adjustable handle and slightly more upright seats so I'd look for those features.

The Mamas & Papas 03 Sport is a heavier but equally good off roader, the seat is huge and sits bolt upright which my son preferred to the original Nipper seat which was very reclined. It can usually be found quite cheaply second hand.

The Jane Slalom is another one to look at, somewhere in between the two above weight and size wise but also a great push and it has the handbrake too.

we have the 03 sport.
its the heaviest pushchair we own but the lightest & nicest to push & goes over absolutely anything. its my hubby's fave pushchair - shame I dont get to use it much as it doesnt fit in my car boot.

If you look at these bear in mind the age of your child & the type of harness it has. the older models have a freedom/floating harness which is fab for older kids who want to lean forward, but is terrible for younger babies, as thry just slump in the seat. The newer model (black fabrics) has a 5 point harness which is far better for younger babies.hth

We bought an out n about nipper on ebay secondhand for £75 a year ago and it's been absolutely fantastic. So light and easy to push too. I wouldn't be put off by them looking a bit grubby - the seat pad washes really easily and if not you can buy replacement bits easily from the manufacturer online.

Still on this as all the out n about nippers near me seem to be going for lots of money second hand, well more than I can warrant. My dh isn't exactly thrilled at the idea of another pushchair purchase! I'm not in a hurry really, but you know when you've decided what you want, you just want it now!? Wish I'd just got one in the first place last year as there are more and more things that I'm growing to dislike about my oyster now!
