Apple to pear advice

I currently have an icandy Apple (not the newer version mine is a 2012 model) and expecting baby no 2 in a few months Dd1 will be 2 when baby arrives. I have noticed shops selling the converter kits for pear for over £300 and wondered if it would be any cheaper buying the converter parts separately 2nd hand.

Can anyone advise as I think I will only use it as a double for a short period as I have a buggy board for when Dd1 is a little older.

My understanding is I would need to change the front wheels and get the pip part along with a yellow tagged seat unit is that correct?? I have be told that the original seat should still fit on the pip on the front connectors.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
