Baby jogger city mini vs city mini GT

I definitely want the Baby jogger City but don't know whether I need the GT version or not? For those of who have the City Mini (3 wheeler) is it still fairly usable over some soft terrain, such as the kids footballs pitches, through the woods to the park, fields etc? I don't need it all terrain enough to be trekking across the Himalayas. The lighter weight of the City Mini appeals to me over the GT if I can get away with not needing the air filled tyres.

Thanks in advance!

It's fine and absolutely useable for what you want but nowhere near as nice a push as the GT. The GT handles better, is smoother and the adjustable handlebar makes it much more comfortable to push. Plus I prefer the handbrake. But yes you'll get away with the mini for the odd foray onto grass.

Thanks for your help! Grin I could really do with having a play with them side by side

I've had all of them! From the mini micro up through the mini and to the GT and the city mini 4 both of which I have now. I do love a baby jogger! Blush

I don't like taking my City Mini over grass as the front wheel has a habit of getting stuck and the push is heavy so I find I need to tip it onto the back wheels to manoeuvre it properly.

I loved my City Mini with DS but this time round I'm noticing the heavy push, terrible suspension and crappy brakes more. If I could justify a GT I'd go for it!
