Pushchairs

Overwhelmed with options- help!

Hi,
We're looking at getting a pushchair for our soon-to-be newborn. All the options are overwhelming! I keep trying to look and getting discouraged.

I have about £250 to spend, not averse to second hand (rather a nice second hand than rubbishy new one). We have a big boot in our car and a hall way.
I like the look of high positioned ones with big hoods.

Please suggest some options and save me from my indecision. Thank you!

Hello!
Do u use public transport much?
Countryside/ rough ground walks?
Will u be flying/ travelling long distance when baby is small (as many people find they need a one piece fold for the plane)
Baby jogger city mini and out n about nipper both brilliant. Would need to get 2nd hand I think?
Do u want to fit car seat on buggy?
Carrycot?
Parent facing?
Easy walker mosey sounds great but I think too new for second hand. U should look it up though just to see!
Will u want to have a light older baby/toddler buggy and a bigger parent facing/carrycot pram, or are u hoping to have just one?
Do u need to shop somewhere with tiny aisles (quest/maclaren xt, bee, micralite, babyzen yoyo)

Hope that might help as a starting point.. I have an out n about nipper and love love it, big hood as requested, but it is overly bulky

I would look at the graco evo, joie chrome, babystyle oyster gem, Icandy cherry, jane muum, baby jogger versa, stuff like that. I have used all of them bar the evo and all are good value for money.

If you fancy second hand then look at good brands - baby jogger, bugaboo, mountain buggy etc. I have had a used Icandy and it was fine but that's not always the case, not sure I'd recommend one used.

Baby jogger city mini I think is the best and I have had about 10 prams!

in my opinion its the best, great fold, very light and has loads of features, suitable from birth also and if you don't like it you can sell it on as there is good resale value with babyjoggers. Good luck

I think before u decide u need to ask yourself a few questions to narrow it down.

do u use public transport?
do u need it to take a car seat?
where will u use it? round town/countryside etc
do u just want one pram to last until u no longer need one?
would u like parent facing beyond 1st few months?
are u planning on more children? if so maybe one u can add a seat to.
are either of u particularly tall? if so extendable handlebars.
two handles or 1 bar?
Do u need a large basket?

once u have answered these narrow down to ones that fit your main priorities or have more than 1 to suit all occasions!!

for me I lived in a flat, used buses quite often, didn't really want to buy a stroller later on, wanted extended parent facing and extendable handles so chose bugaboo bee however its rubbish on uneven terrain and cant take too much shopping!
