Pushchairs

Does a cheap, very light, umbrella stroller that really reclines exist?

This has become my holy grail! I've got a 27 month old and we're going on holiday to France and I would love to be able to enjoy a leisurely lunch with her sleeping peacefully in a pushchair next to us. The one we have now claimed to recline but just leaves her an uncomfortable chin to chest position that makes her look like she's on a long haul flight. The cheaper the better, as we'll probably only use it for a few more months. Any advice gratefully received, or if this is a crazy dream please tell me!

We have a Maclaren XLR which lies totally flat. I think the XT lays totally flat too. Worth looking for them in ebay/gumtree as they are very robust so eveb second hand would be good condition.

I bought a zeta voom for about £50 on amazon as a holiday buggy and was really impressed with the quality for the price. It has about a 3 position recline so doesn't go completely flat but it's pretty good and has a really big hood which actually keeps the sun off.

Much appreciated - I'm off to Amazon!

I bought the OBaby Atlas for £50. Umbrella fold and lies absolutely flat.

We've done several holidays and many days out, abuse it by sitting two 4-year olds in it instead of one child, push it across grass/beaches etc. In short, we've abused two of these pushchairs concurrently (twins) for three years and they're still going strong :) I think they're great pushchairs!

We have a Mothercare one - cost about £50, suitable from newborn. Works really well, folds easily and is light to carry.
