Best pushchair for dog walks

Hi
We have a dog and want a pushchair that is suitable to both city and country walks. We've looked at the Bugaboo Buffalo as this seems to be the best all terrain pushchair but are there any cheaper options that anyone has that they would recommend instead?
I've read a few reviews about the Buffalo and it seems quite good but the price tag is a slight concern. We want to make sure that the wheels and the frame can handle being pushed along country paths as we don't really want to have 2 pushchairs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

We've got a beagle and a 10 month old and bought the uppababy vista. It has handled our dog walks really well! Good over rough terrain, sturdy and slightly cheaper than the buffalo.

We have the buffalo as we regularly watch local rugby and go for country walks, so we needed a pushchair that could cope with being pushed over mud and gravel. DS is 12 weeks old now, and we love it, it does everything we need it to, both on walks/at rugby and in town, and DS seems really comfy in it, but I do think that we're going to need a second pushchair at some point as the buffalo is heavy and quite bulky, and wouldn't be any good to take on holiday, but I think that would probably be the case with most pushchairs.

I've bought the jane trider. Haven't used it yet as we're adopting and little one not with us yet but my friend bought it and loves it. She does all the dog walking/horses/scottish countryside and it stands up to all.
It was a which best buy and we bought it because needed all terrain and parent facing option so fitted the bill perfectly.

We've got the Jane Slalom Pro & I've found it great, just got it out again for dc2!
Its been everywhere, dog walking, country shows, hilly preschool run, into town etc etc.
It's front wheel can be locked straight for easier pushing on rough terrain or can swivel for more manouvreability on smooth surfaces.
The only possible downside is it is fairly large when out shopping, but I can live with that as it spends far more time walking dogs etc than shopping.
They can be pricey to buy but we found ours cheaper (brand new) on ebay in "last seasons colours". That was 5years ago though, not sure what's available now.

I think the trider is very closely designed on the slalom, a friend also had the slalom then as we were looking it seemed to be more the trider everywhere although I think you can still get it. We just ordered the trider from preciouslittleone and like you fidgety we bought last years "black" instead of this years and it came with the buggy, car carrycot and car seat for £599.00.

Stokke are bringing out 'Trailz' an all-terrain competitor to the Buffalo in October. I prefer the look of it and I think it is set to be marginally cheaper (but not by much)

Out n about nipper is the best pushchair I have ever owned. Amazing off road and very light one handed steering. Folds small too once the wheels are taken off. Bargain too compared to others.

Plus our out n about could be pushed on the beach! None of this dragging it backwards behind you malarkey. I was very smug.

The Buffalo is great, but it is a big pushchair. The Nipper or a TFK or a Baby Jogger Summit or a BOB Revolution would be fab off road.
