Lightweight buggy for 16 week baby

We need to get a light weight buggy that we can take on holiday (UK so no flight issues) with us as our Bugaboo cameleon won't fit in the hire car. It'll be for short journeys/sleeps rather than heavy intensive use. DS will be 16 weeks and has good head control. I don't want to buy an expensive one. Criteria need to be 1) his comfort and safety, 2) foldability, 3) weight/size. I've currently seen the Maclaren Quest Sport and the Silver Cross Pop stroller. I've had a Maclaren in the past and always quite liked them as they're so easy to fold and are light, but the Silver Cross one says it fully reclines. Hmm.

Any opinions or alternative recommendations? Thanks v much.

I think the pop is a nightmare all round. If it's a new quest you're talking about I'm sure they're suitable from birth now? The joovy groove is also good but a little big bigger all round.

I wouldn't buy an umbrella fold if it was me though, just don't get on with them. The red kite zumi is great for the price, fully reclines, good basket, light, big hood, good raincover etc. It comes with maxi cosi adaptors to if you happen to have that seat. The graco evo mini was getting a lot of good reviews recently, as is the recaro easylife, I'm not sure how suitable the recline is on that though.

Petite Star Zia? Folds easily and very small, lies flat, lightweight and can add foot muff etc to make it comfier.

Oo, very helpful, thank you. I'll check those out. Do you know why the Pop is considered such a nightmare?

The one I see at school every day is squeaky and the endless bad reviews online, wheel issues, squeaking, brake problems etc.

I hear good things about the chicco echo too as an umbrella stroller and they're a bargain on kiddicare at the moment.

There is also the m&p armadillo and armadillo city (due out imminently) the city looks great to me as it's got all the stuff I like, the single handle, good hood, decent basket etc but is small and narrow like a stroller.

baby jogger Vue, like a normal buggy but the seat parent faces and is from birth? It's about £200.
Or the mamas and papas armadillo

I really like the armadillo.

We've got a pop for the nursery run, holidays etc and it's fine. It's not as nice as the cameleon but I didn't expect it to be. It is as longer/possibly a bit longer than the cam when collapsed
