4 yo plus newborn travel system dilemma!

My DS will be 4 when dc2 arrives. We have a (now slightly battered) cameleon. Am happy to treat dc2 (and me!) to a new pram though. Can anyone advise on best pram for newborn with buggy board suitable for 4yo?. Ds1 will walk a lot but want him to be able to hop on a board sometimes for speed or if tired. I fancy a stokke but not sure board will work for 4 yo. Is 4 too big for seat on bugaboo donkey? Suspect it is. Any tips from those with this age gap much appreciated.

Do you still have the carrycot for your chameleon? I'd be tempted to use that plus buggy board for first 6 months (I can't imagine the carrycot is that beat up!) then re-assess- your older DC might not need a buggy board by then anyway!

Cam with board is a great combo imo, so I too would stick with it if it's all still fully functioning.

Thanks - that's all much appreciated. Did you get the bugaboo board or the lascal one?

I just bought a donkey as am due dc 2 tomorrow. My ds is 2.9, he will probably get a year out of it size wize. He uses our cam every day, so I feel I do need a double. I would be annoyed taking a double out all the time if the older one rarely used it, though.

In your position i think i would do as lentil suggests. Or sell your current cam and buy a brand new one as the cam 3s are pretty nice...! The bugaboo board looks good, and would be easy to stash away in the basket, but lascal seems to get better reviews. Can you pop in to a john lewis to have a look?

Have you thought about using a sling?

I have a caboo close for dd 11 weeks and a hop tye for her to go into next. They are both great.

Thanks. I think we've missed the boat on the donkey otherwise I'd get one of them. Good luck with dc2 gold toof!
I'll look at the sling idea - had a baby bjorn last time but a sling sounds cosier.

I've got a Bee and we bought the Lascal board. It's a better shape than the Bugaboo one, less likely to kick it as you walk along.

I had the same age gap. I'd recommend a Moby sling and a Mini micro scooter.
