Pushchairs

Which Maclaren?

Hi, I'm looking for a stroller type pushchair for my 15 month old DS, and think I have narrowed it down to a Petite Star Zia 4, a Hauck Spirit, or some kind of Maclaren! I'm a bit confused by all the different models and was just wondering which was best.

I must confess I'm not a stroller fan, I prefer my pushchairs sturdy and non rattly, but I do need something for the car that is easier and lighter than my Mutsy. Requirements are... sturdy as possible, around 8kg or lighter, quick and easy to fold, compact when folded, decent sized hood, and a padded/structured seat. Does anyone know which model would fit the bill? Or is it simply a case of the most expensive being the best? Budget is only £100, pref less, so would be looking at second hand anyway.
Thanks!

Second hand baby jogger city mini :) Or Techno XT if you must go the Maclaren route.

Another vote for Techno Xt ours had been used 6 years now and still going strong!

Brought a new maclaren techno xt a few months ago for a holiday. Would suggest you try one before buying. Jittery and rattly, both my husband and myself disliked it. On eBay the same day we came back from our holiday. Was disappointed as most people seem to love their maclaren.

Ooh ok, I think my friend has one though not sure which model, I'll see if I can try it. Looks like the most expensive is the best then!
I would prefer a BJCM really, but I have a 3 wheeler pushchair already and wanted a 4 wheeler one, but these hardly ever come up for sale 2nd hand.
Thanks for the advice!

They look a bit pricey really Tiggy, but thanks. ( will check ebay though ) Does anyone know the difference between the XT and the XLR? And also are the cheaper strollers ie Hauck or Obaby generally rubbish? Am torn between something new but cheap or 2nd hand more expensive model.
