BUGABOO CAMELON OR ICANDY APPLE 2?

Hi

I am looking at pushchairs for our first baby. I am currently deciding between the bugaboo cameleon and the new icandy apple2.

Does anyone have any advice? I am concerned about the ease of the bugaboo basket to get in and out of when shopping it just seems very fiddly? Is it? I was also advised you have to remove it when going which seems a hassle.

As the apple 2 is new has anyone got it?

Was just at John Lewis and saw the Bugaboo buffalo, seems to be the replacement for chameleon I think, or it looked v similar - anyway, the shopping basket on that was a huge improvement on the chameleon! Maybe check it out too?

I don't have any trouble with my cam basket, I rarely use the drawstring bit, just let the fabric lid hang inside the basket and use as if it wasn't there. Can't comment on the Apple (though I saw one today and it looked fab) but my friend's Uppababy Vista basket is definitely bigger and more accessible than the cam basket.

I have the Apple 2 (and have had 2 Cameleons). I much prefer the Apple 2. I have to confess, I used to love my first Cam, so I bought my second one, and it was a case of rose tinted spectacles. Still lovely, but I think the Apple 2 is nicer. The Bugaboo basket is fiddly and inaccessible in carrycot mode. However I always liked that you could tie the top up to hold things in. But moving to an open bigger basket was bliss - to simply throw a carrier bag in, instead of having to remove the carrycot to get things in!
Both are top of the range pushchairs and I have a soft spot for each. The Apple is easier to use though. I like the new colours too.

Thank you Tiggywunkle. I was convinced I was going to love the bugaboo but the more I see the Apple 2 the more I like it the basket just seemed so much more user friendly and I liked the fact the hood pulled over again to shield from the sun.

I have just ordered the cameleon 3. I went for it because it was the lightest.
I looked at i candy and it seemed far too bulky and heavy. I also looked at the bugaboo buffalo and discounted that for the same reason. It is a cameleon on steroids and unless you live out in the sticks is unnecessary.
It depends on what is most important to you. Granted the basket is not quite as usable on the bugaboo but for me as I am only small, weight is a bigger issue x
