Hi 9 weeks ago I bought a second hand stokke v3 off a company in Bristol called little loving touches. A few weeks after it arrived I was walking home from nursery with my baby in the stokke, middle child on the ride board and 4 year old holding my hand when the rear wheel falls Off. I put it back on but every few feet it would fall off again. I managed to get home safely. I contacted the company that sold it me and after a few snotty emails they agreed to replace the wheel. So today walking my daughter to her trial at school the other wheel falls off. At this point I'm very annoyed I email the company and there refusing to replace the wheel and are saying it's my fault. I'm a pushchair addict and will tell my husband off if he puts it on the floor when getting them out the car! My daughter is only 13 weeks old so I know it's defiantly not her weight so now I'm wondering if the busy board maybe affecting the wheels. It's the official stokke ride on and it says up to the weight of 20kg and my toddlers only 14.85kg. Has anyone else had the same problem? I would like to try and work out what's causing is as new wheels cost £46 each. Also has anyone else used the same company or had problems from other companies. At the moment it looks like I can't do anything as its second hand but I bought it from a company that are meant to refurbish pushchairs to a high standard. You would expect a llonger life than 9 weeks even for a second hand as specially as it cost £540.

Shock

I don't know who you would be best contacting, if you purchased via ebay then I might start with them. Trading standards etc. The same consumer rights apply to second hand goods iirc, good link here.

Really hope you get it sorted.

I've phoned trading standards and they said it's not there area. I bought it directly from there site but I did pay with PayPal so I don't know if they can do anything. I'm just so annoyed I really really wanted a stokke v3 and I saw there website and it looks like a reliable company and convinced me to buy second hand. So wish I bought New now

You could also try posting messages on the stokke facebook page if you're on Facebook. They'll prob tell you to contact your retailer but may chase them up for you if the retailer is being crap. They don't like unhappy customers posting stuff so will try to resolve ime.

I'm just so annoyed with little loving touches who I bought it from. I had a baby jogger city select when my youngest was first born in March but I didn't get on with it, was to heavy as a double so I thought I'll just get a stokke as I wanted one in the first place and my toddler can walk or I'll get a board. So I was looking online and eBay trying to decide what colour to get. When I found a really nice teal one on eBay so I looked on there site and it said that they buy second hand pushchairs and do them up to a very high standard to sell on. And they take the worry out of buying second hand. So I really liked the teal one the had and they had graded it A so I thought yep I'll get it. So when it arrived it was perfect you could hardly tell it had been used I was so happy. But now I'm so annoyed it was bad when the first wheel fell off but now both rear wheels have fallen off I'm just gutted. Little loving touches have been so rude and are saying it's something I've done. My daughter is only 13 weeks how could pushing her around break the wheels? So now I'm in a dilemma do I replace the wheel and just hope it doesn't happen again or do I buy a new one?

I might be tempted to contact stokke and send it to them for assessment and repair, even if it costs you money at least that way you can have confidence it has been done properly.

parties thanks Grin and as for doubles, not yet I think... Though i have started lurking on tandem threads just to see what the options are. We're in an upstairs flat and it's hard enough getting a single downstairs. I think it'll be sling & single for the time being, and maybe borrow my sister's p&t for a few months at some stage... Though I'm not a massive fan of p&ts... Plenty of time for me to change my mind though and start pushchair shopping again Wink

Thanks for all your help ladies. I'm still waiting to hear back off stokke. For the lady who is shopping for doubles I've had 3 double pushchairs. My first was a side by side stroller which we didn't like it was to wide and a nightmare to push round the small town we live in so then I bought a britax b dual which is big but as a double goes it's nice to push and big seats. Worse one I had was the city select its so heavy as a double to push but may b worth considering if your not going to use it as a double all the time because it's great in single mode and you can fit loads in the basket. I love my stokke and buggy board it's really nice to push even with the board on (well it was nice till the wheels fell off lol). The mama's and papa. Morph is a good sling to I bought one for my 3rd baby and it's great you can carry them for hours in it.
