Its a rather lovely system and fixes all of the issues with the 4 Rider. It folds nice and small and feels much lighter to push than the 4 Rider yet maintains the really sturdy feel and the unique style.
The seat unit is excellent and has a really large extendable canopy and the fabrics are well padded and just feel quality.
The Lite carrycot is featherlite but really feels sturdy

Seriously silver look at the Joie Chrome here. I had one ordered but I happened to see one in a mothercare store today and I'm pretty much sold. The fold is compact and parent facing, big basket, nice looking chassis, suspension on all wheels, reasonable hood. Unproven of course being so new but initial impressions are very very good ime.

I suspect the Igo will have areas of increased quality but the Chrome is seriously seriously good value for 200 odd pounds. I can't wait for mine to arrive to try it out properly!

when is yours coming parties? I did see someone with a Joie pushchair in black today which looked good but don't think it was the same model. Are there any other websites which demonstrate the fold?

I have been studying photos of the Igo and Chrome and its clear to see there are areas which look cheaper on the Chrome, but the Chrome has some good points like a deeper basket. I know Parties has definitely got me interested in this!

I've arranged for the Evo to be returned and bought an Igo! I'm really excited, having studied the videos quite extensively (!) I love the Igo fold (easier than the Evo), it's not as long or wide either, and superficial i know its my favourite colour! If anyone's interested, Babycare in Dagenham have them on display and seemed quite helpful on the phone, but I ended up buying from a german site (kiddies24.de) with a good discount. This is going to have to be a 'forever' buggy so I hope I love it!

I know but I wouldn't have been happy with anything else now believe me I have done my research! The only thing is it could be a bit lighter but I have my Noa for when that matters.

Hm so I have been waiting and waiting for my Igo, being told it will come in stock 'next week' several times, only to be finally told by retailer (6 weeks later) that it won't be available until end of September

I have cancelled the order, and am considering ordering in the uk as found somewhere that has it in stock. Very annoyed though, as it will cost £60 more and was beyond my budget already, and have been waiting 6 weeks. Wondering whether I need it so much after all if I've managed so long without it!

So I got my Igo finally from Oxford pram centre who provided a great no fuss next day service. Initial impressions are good

Posted too soon! The fabrics and finish are the best I have seen on any buggy including bugaboo uppababy etc - the brushed aluminium frame especially looks fantastic. It was very easy to put together but I had quite a bit of trouble working out how to fold the thing! It may have been initial stiffness though as its now quite easy to put up and down. The fold is tiny especially with wheels off which takes seconds. It feels much neater than the Evo. The handle is quite high at lowest setting but I am used to the maxi cosi noa which is very low and I am short anyway.

The biggest problem I have is that it doesn't fold with the seat parent facing, which was the whole reason for buying it! You can fold with the seat off or forward facing only. Cannot believe I did not spot this! It is easy enough to remove seat and fold which is what we will have to do until dd is older and wants to be forward facing.

Cannot wait to take it out but I'm going away for 4 days so will have to wait!

Hello everybody, especially SilverSixpence :)..
I'm expecting my first baby and from all strollers i saw and studied, Mutsy Igo seems best to me.. Although i also haven't noticed that folding with seat forward only :( but it's ok, i think can pass over that..
The only thing that bothers me now that in shop where i saw them in the sea of all strollers, they looked so small and narrow... I'm worried if my baby's going to be comfortable for 1 year old baby... What's your opinion as an Igo owner about that? :) Thank youu

Nerner my big 7 month old still looks quite small in the seat unit so I'd expect it to last well, at least until 2/2.5 I would think.

I forgot to mention the ingenious carrying handle when folded and the seat mechanism - it flattens out in the lying position so the baby is more comfortable sleeping. It really is a well designed pushchair except that it doesn't fold both ways!

Well I've taken the igo out now and not too sure I like it - there seems to be zero suspension and it is very hard on my hands - my wrists were tingling afterwards! I tried turning the seat to forward facing which slightly improved it but not much. Also found it not that comfortable to turn, required both hands and a bit of effort. Also the catch to fold it doesn't hold it properly and it comes undone and unfolds. I'm a bit gutted tbh as not sure I can return it now that it's been used and I do love the fold and fabrics etc

Anyone know if the air tyres will improve the suspension/how easy it is to push?

Try taking the wheels off and putting a bit of silicone spray around the bearings etc. Mutsy stuff is notoriously stiff when new, so this might help the turning. I would get a set of air tyres as they will absorb a lot of the strain. Our Igo is lovely to push and baby is so comfortable in it.

How is it now that you've had it a few months, silver? Do you still love it? And how big is the basket? It seems the Evo has a bigger and deeper basket?

Just noticed some posts on this thread which I had missed so thought I would update in case it is useful to anyone. We used the Igo all of last winter, a bit less frequently in the summer and every day again now it is colder. It is a good pushchair, I love the lie flat mechanism as DD looks so comfortable sleeping in it. The hood is also very roomy and the window is handy for checking on her. The seat is easy to reverse and it was lovely having her rear facing (we mostly use it forward facing now). The basket is generally adequate but I don't really use it for a big shop - I see you can get an extra basket for it now which clips on the back to extend the amount of space. The Evo basket is definitely bigger but I didn't like how far the pushchair seemed when pushing due to the handle design.

The fold is ok, but it's not really a small or light pushchair imo and I find it awkward to steer and get up curbs - I am quite often conscious of strain in my wrists when using it which is the main thing I am disappointed about. It doesn't have any suspension in the frame which I think is unacceptable in such an expensive pushchair. I am quite petite though so maybe others wouldn't find this so much of a problem.
